Okay let me just get this out of the way first: Lifting Unlimited is not a "good" game by anyone's particular standards. However, it's actually the funniest and potentially most accurate simulation of powerlifting I've ever seen. You control a little low-poly blob (accurate powerlifting physique tbh) and do quick time events for the squat, bench and deadlift. Because of the way these QTEs are implemented, I ended up just instantly maxing out Deadlift (2000lbs - the world record is 1000 fyi) with comparatively abysmal squat and bench press. You also get injured constantly in this game - which is kind of a pain because you have to wait a whole minute or two to go to the doctor while the game's background music (which I can only compare to something like Entrance of the Gladiators) keeps nonsensically playing - I couldn't help but laugh for most of my experience because of how extremely unserious this game is. Lifting Unlimited is so bad it wraps back around to being good - it's not fun, but it sure is funny and that's good enough for me.
