Liberation Mutagenix

Liberation Mutagenix is a fun game that feels reminiscent of the older lemmings games, but stands out with its own identity of a uniquely polished artstyle. I really enjoyed playing through each of these levels and thinking about how to beat it until everything clicks. The game allows for you to trial and error as much as you want with being able to restart levels even with your tools already placed down, allowing you to figure out more complex puzzles levels without having to waste too much time on setup. Especially getting perfect clears, which add an extra layer of challenge in order to get every single one of your guys escaped safely. Going for 100% in the game was a fun challenge figuring out the most optimal routes in each level, especially the later ones which had lots of mechanics and different strategies that could be employed. There also was some initial issues with bugs that I noticed, however the dev got back very quickly and rolled a patch out in order to ensure the game was fully playable. This is someone who put effort into making this game, and it shows.

As a spiritual successor to "Lemmings", "Liberation Mutagenix" provides a few hours of simple puzzle-fun. It's worth the low price if you're into the genre, especially since there are not too many games of this type available...
