Purchased the full game and the Stonebourne dlc, back in 2016. Got the 4 campaign and Leap of Faith (game bought) achievements. Devs have removed the login servers and introduced a LoC - full game dlc. The game I have fully purchased, is now soft locked, as if it is the demo version. The game now comes in a bundle to unlock all content. LoC & LoC - full game dlc cost nothing, as I already own the original, but to get the LoC - full game dlc into my steam library, requires the game to be purchased, as a bundle again. There is no, Free to Add to Library button. This is a total rip-off for an owner of the game, who has already purchased the original game. The game has been reported to Steam for fraud.

pretty fun but needs multiplayer for me to recommend it

The game, when first released, was an experiment for Boomzap as they wished to branch out into the Strategy genre after having made their name with Hidden Object games. This game quickly became one of my favorite indie games and is quick and easy to pick up and play, while offering quite the challenge as you move through the campaign. They also released a mobile version of the game, and buying one version (mobile or PC) gave you the other version for free, allowing you to continue through your campaign through either method. Within the past year or so, issues arose with the authentication server, which made the game impossible to play beyond a demo like mode if you installed it on a new device. The devs indicated that it would be costly, if not impossible, to fix those issues due to the backend coding that allowed them to connect mobile and PC versions. Gratefully, though, they have worked to get the PC version back up and running, though Multiplayer needed to be disabled in order to do so. I still recommend this game as it's a fun game to play. I am by no means an expert in the Strategy genre. I have played games like Civilization, Total War, Risk, Stronghold, et al. but haven't played any with the card mechanic like this that I recall, so can't make comparisons. All I can say is that I have enjoyed this game from the start, and look forward to continuing through the campaigns at my leisure, and playing those skirmishes, which I have done a lot of. The loss of multiplayer and mobile suck, but at the end of the day, despite losing money on this experiment, the devs put forth the effort to get the PC version back up and working and are to be commended for doing so.

Игра «Legends of Callasia» — яркий пример классической RPG с элементами стратегии. Открытый мир, богатый сюжет и разнообразные квесты привлекают. Графика умеренная, но с живыми анимациями. Плюсы: глубокая система развития персонажей, интересные боссы, свобода выбора. Минусы: сложный геймплей для новичков, иногда непонятные механики. Звуковое сопровождение уместно, но не запоминается. Подойдет фанатам жанра, но требует времени на освоение. В целом — достойный проект с потенциалом для развития.

If you go in expecting something HoMM, you will be disappointed. This is more like a board game with some PC game features; specifically simultaneous turns and automated combat. The graphics are bright and crisp, but static (i.e. no animations). The game play is strategic at a high level, with every turn representing a month in the game world. I like it. I have only played it solo, however I like it more than other PC board games, like Gloomhaven or Blood Rage, which I love as board games, but less so the digital versions (maybe because these 2D graphics don't interfere with the game play the way I feel it does in those other games).
