LastRo is a top-down shooter roguelike where you play robot, which mission is to clear up a lot of floors against different enemies. Your enemies are "evolving", which means they become stronger with each floor and difficulty you beat. Try out different weapons, abilities and upgrades to beat them.

The game is interesting and addictive. I thought I'd sit for a while, but I stayed up almost all night. There are not enough tasks of all kinds
Developed by a solo creator, the game impresses with its solid gameplay. Despite some limitations, the engaging levels contribute to an overall enjoyable experience.

Decent roguelike action shooter to try for free
I really enjoyed this game – it's got these cool mechanics where you pick upgrades for both yourself and the enemy, which is pretty unique. It's a chill game, super interesting story and super easy to get into!

"LastRo" is a pointless, amateurish Unity kitbash, a basic game made from a top down twin stick shooter template. What do you do in the game? Control a robot and do some twin stick shooting with some pointless upgrades, no content, no plot, no reason to do anything but uninstall this rapidly, or better yet, just don't install it. This feels more like a tech demo or a project smacked together hurriedly to try make a kind of minimum viable product just good enough to pass the developers unambitious idea and shove it into Steam Direct to see if you can actually pay and publish junk through Steam Direct. Yeah, you can. Is this good for gamers? Nope. I'm not sure if this is an asset flip, but it's one of those cases where the assets just look much better than the rest of the quality of the game... a glaring inconsistency. There's no evidence, but as always, the biggest problem with asset flips besides the plagiarism is the deplorably low quality of the other aspects of the game, and even if the game assets are genuinely created for the game, the quality of the rest of the game is indistinguishable from that of asset flips. The developer chose not to do the job of a real game developer and create meaningful bespoke levels, narrative based gameplay progression and so on. Instead, they decided that "Procgen IS content!" and lazily tried to use procgen algorithms to create infinite, samey, repetitive, soulless levels, because that's a lot less work. As a result of this poor decision, the game gets tired and repetitive almost immediately. Developers must learn that procgen is a terrible substitute for creating real content. It should not be used as "ez-mode" for content creation, as the developer tried to do here. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 4 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Given that this free title won't increase your game collector count, is it worth your time to add it to your library? This is a hard pass. There's no immediate financial commitment, but there are thousands of more compelling games on the platform that will give you a lot more enjoyment for your time.
Very interesting game It's a pity I couldn't enjoy it because laser weapons were fixed for the worse
