Last War:Survival

Totally B.S. action, nicely elaborate development (If this comes out as one long paragraph, that is because the App Store mangled my review) I'll start by saying that many of the "action" levels in the game that are shown in ads to make it look exciting are almost impossible and kill the fun. There are Frontline Breakthrough levels where the zombies kill your troops without even coming close to touching them. The videos on YouTube showing how to beat them show different gameplay that makes it look more possible. Check out the video comments on YouTube and you'll find scores of commenters saying the same. Instead of creating more levels, the game designers intermittently place ones that are so screwed up that most people hit a wall and are forced to spend the vast majority of time developing their base and collecting items. As far as that part of the game goes: there is quite a checklist of things involved in building the strength of your base in this game ~ all based around building an inventory of items and currencies that can be used to level things up. The game gives you zero instruction, so you have to gradually figure things out and hope that when you join an alliance, your allies will help show you the ropes. The game is 99% preparation and maybe 1% action, and your success in most of the action isn't based on your skills a all ~ it's just based on whether you have built up your level enough to kill things before they get to you. Thus, you will end up stuck having to build up your squad and base for weeks, waiting to get strong enough to beat a level so you can see some more "action". You get regular little alerts about events that either haven't started or have already ended; I've never gotten a notification that something is abut to start. A month in and I'm still not clear on what a lot of them are. There are arms races and wars where two alliances from two separate servers (maps) are pitted against each other to compete for earning points (by developing their bases and stuff) or attacking each other's bases. Sometimes one alliance will be made up of bases that are literally twice the levels of the other alliance's bases, which makes it not a contest (or fun). All in all, because of how intricate it is, it can be fun building up your squads and base and stuff, and the game is generous enough that you can make steady progress without spending money. I've spent $6 and that was enough to give me a satisfying boost. If you find yourself in an alliance where the people are cool, log in often and cooperate, you can help each other develop faster and get a sense of teamwork that adds another fun factor. But for the number of hours I've put in, not much happens.

Awesome game This game is so fun and I love playing it on the road and on my free time

Last War This game is nothing but a money pit… If you want to play a game competitively without having to spend money on everything. Pass on by this game and don’t waste your time.

Cheating is tolerated Developers have been made aware of cheating but do nothing about it. Spend money elsewhere.

Deceiving Game play not as advertised

Last War is the Last Game you need. Had so much fun I’m playing it Twice. Can play for hours and won’t need to spend a lot or even any money to do so. NO POP UPS!!! Let me say that AGAIN…. NO ANNOYING POP UPS!!!

Updated and now app won’t open I updated the app and now it doesn’t open.

Fun but time consuming Love the game but it is a huge time commitment
