A very magnificient and bloody great horror experience that has graphics similar to games like Silent breath, Don't scream and Shhh! I was able to playthrough Lappelduvide and beat the game and it was really fun with a interesting story

"Great game, love the build-up, wish it was longer!" The gradual build-up kept me on the edge of my seat, The graphics are stunning like my home is immaculate. The filipino province house vibe is 100% haha. However, just as I was getting deeply engrossed, the game reached its conclusion. It left me craving more, wishing the adventure could continue a bit longer. Despite its relatively short length, the quality of content made every moment worthwhile.
PROS -it works -cool intro -my nuts hang CONS - Good lord one of the most non nonsensical misdirected "ANALOG" walking simulators ive ever played nothing in this game is remotely pinoy such a bland environment of nothing an empty house with furniture that could have come from anywhere in the world, you could tell me this game took place in Serbia or New Mexico and I would believe you there is no reason why this game has to be ANALOG horror the tacked on vhs font with the pov is only taken advantage of when you decide to move the plot with generic glitch screen transitions and my god you are charging me 5 dollars to bump into your cinder block empty 4 room shack walls until something happens how on gods green earth is it fun to play ispy in such a dull nothing generic environment again I wouldn't be so harsh if this was a first try or free school project but 5 dollars???????? The most exciting/scariest thing about Lappelduvide is applying for a refund and seeing the five dollars go back into my bank account -Also why is the mother a picture of some white lady how is this the Philippines and this farm house doesn't even have any calendars or a picture of Jesus this whole games setting was like if someone vaguely told you what the Philippines rural side was like -You really thought your game was worth 3 mcchickens
"You don't see it coming til it happens and that's the best moments this game has to offer" Just finished playing this. I played the demo of this before and I was intrigued and excited to see the full game, thanks to the developer for giving me a copy of the game. Just finished the game a few minutes ago and already recorded my game-play for it (To be posted soon) The game's atmosphere is eerie and I love every single of it. Plus the scares are unexpected, the more you progress into the game, the more it gets weirder and you have no idea what's gonna happen next, making it unpredictable. Though it was short but it did give me a few scares. Story wise, I love it! Won't spoil much but I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to play!

I originally saw a photoset preview of this on tiktok and was so happy to finally play the game once released. Analogue horror is a great genre, and having it take place in the Philippines unlocks new environmental storytelling potential. Lappelduvide takes us into an isolating and terrifying mystery involving a virus, or another entity that overtakes the player. Though I had some trouble progressing, once I figured it out I enjoyed the overall experience and will be replaying to appreciate the finer details even more. I hope to see more from this developer!
VERY GUD VERY NICE!
[b] It genuinely reminded me of being a kid alone at home in the dark, imagining things in the silence. Very few horror games manage to bring back that specific kind of fear. After a virus starts driving people mentally ill, you explore the disturbed mind of one of its victims... The style is incredibly unique. A found-footage aesthetic mixed with that raw early-2000s feeling makes everything feel strangely real and unsettling. The atmosphere is dreadful from beginning to end. Not because the game relies on cheap jumpscares, but because it constantly builds discomfort and fear of the unknown. The backstory is also surprisingly strong, adding weight to the experience instead of feeling like an excuse for the horror. Gameplay is essentially a realistic walking simulator, but it works perfectly here because immersion and psychological tension are the real focus. Lappelduvide is a very different take on horror. A hidden gem. Surely not for everyone, but a game with a lot of charisma that fully delivers on its premise. Even though the game costs only 1 dollar, I still wouldn't recommend it. It's really short and rather uneventful with a cheap jumpscare thrown in. You're a guy who is slowly succumbing to a mind-controlling virus, a bit like the Tuurngait virus from Penumbra: Black Plague. It displays a found footage VHS style aesthetic and you're walking around interacting with objects and getting some texts in-between. It's not terrible but it feels more like a tech demo. The worst part is that the game is rather barebones and buggy and I was forced to close it after trying to get the resolution right, locking me out of seeing and interacting with the settings menu. I just watched a gameplay video instead of restarting and trust me, it's not too exciting. Buy a coke instead.
