About
The indie freeware classic returns! It's been 20 years since visionary Swedish indie developer Nifflas (Rhythm Doggo, Ynglet) released Knytt, the first title in the atmospheric platforming series. Made with the help of a passionate group of internet forum collaborators, the game was released for free on the web in 2006, and later followed up by Knytt Stories (2007) and Knytt Underground (2012). IGN called Knytt "an extremely soothing and memorable ambient adventure", while Edge Magazine remarked it was "pure platforming pleasure and a wonderfully soothing soundscape."
To help celebrate the 20th anniversary, Bit Kid (Chasm, WOLFHOUND) is proud to present Knytt Classic, a free pixel-perfect port with full controller support, achievements, bonus modes, display effects, and much more!
Guide the Knytt, a peaceful being who is abducted by aliens for a cruise across the solar system and ends up crash-landing on another world. Explore the atmospheric, maze-like planet and collect all the parts from your crashed ship in order to return home. As Edge put it, "There’s no combat, no switches, and no real puzzles to speak of, just plentiful checkpoints, pure platforming pleasure and a wonderfully soothing soundscape."

Simple yet very fun. I died a bunch and that made me happy.
Court, agréable, accessible aux non-experts en platforming.
Wow, what a blast from the past! I had no idea this game just released on Steam, it was a really formative experience for me all those years ago. The music, charm, sense of exploration and nostalgic feelings just hit me right in the heart and this instantly brought me back during this brisk playthrough. I recommend this to everyone! It’s a really neat little game on its own and shows how indie games started back before the boom. A regular playthrough will run you about an hour and this comes with additional difficulty modes. Here’s hoping for an official Steam version of Within a Deep Forest next!

thanks for preserving this niche piece of indie game history!
Divertido e bem fácil de jogar. Experiencia relaxante
在80年代可谓神作!本体免费,无中自行配合机翻可玩,强推。 we need your all game have chinese.
It's a good game to take a weekend to beat. I totally agree with the reviews already, it's similar to reading a good book while bundled in a blanket, its soundscapes and ambience are just spectacular. I'm not entirely sure I like the hard modes (I just don't like the style it was redesigned, I much prefer it as it's supposed to be. I love Silksong and Celeste, so I don't shy away from difficult games.), I think I'd rather leave it as is as a simple game, but if you want some replayability, it's there! TL;DR Very simple, yet nice regardless
What a great little game this is! I honestly forgot about this lil gem of a game. Music is great, platforming is fun. The game can get a little confusing with the EXTREMELY barebones map in the pause menu. But for a game that is free, you can only nitpick so much. If you like simple platformers, I feel this holds up.
Simple controls and atmospheric exploration. Also, secrets and spike gauntlets for the platforming fiends (like me).
Un juego que no tiene nada de lineal y ciertamente no ha envejecido tan bien. Disfrutable, pero nada más.
