Kill zombies, earn money, upgrade your weapons, and survive—simple but fun! The in-game currency lets you buy new weapons like bows, hammers, AK-47s, and more, making progression feel rewarding. Unfortunately, the multiplayer is pretty dead, but if you grab some friends, it can still be a blast! If you enjoy wave-based survival shooters with upgrades, this is worth a try. I recommend it! 🎯🧟♂️

Kill Him! Online Wars, developed by DNZY Games and published by My Way Games, is a small-scale multiplayer arena shooter that focuses on quick matches, chaotic firefights, and simple progression systems. Released on Steam in 2018, the game belongs to the category of indie action shooters that emphasize accessibility and arcade-style gameplay rather than realistic combat mechanics or deep tactical systems. Built around a top-down perspective and colorful voxel-inspired visuals, the game throws players into compact arenas where survival depends on quick reactions, movement, and accurate shooting. The design philosophy is clearly centered on providing fast bursts of action that players can jump into immediately without needing to master complicated controls or strategic systems. The core gameplay revolves around multiplayer combat where players battle each other in small maps filled with obstacles, weapons, and power-ups. Each match begins with players spawning into an arena where the objective is simply to eliminate opponents while avoiding incoming fire. Movement is handled using standard keyboard controls while aiming and shooting are managed with the mouse, giving the gameplay a feel similar to classic twin-stick shooters. Because arenas are relatively small, battles quickly escalate into intense firefights where positioning and quick reflexes play a major role. Players constantly dodge enemy attacks, chase opponents across the map, and compete to control valuable weapon pickups scattered throughout the environment. Although the multiplayer component serves as the main attraction, the game also includes several single-player activities that help expand its content. One of these modes is a zombie survival challenge where players must fight off waves of undead enemies while attempting to survive as long as possible. This mode offers a more controlled environment where players can practice their shooting skills and earn rewards without the unpredictability of human opponents. Another mode focuses on boss battles, introducing stronger enemies that require more careful movement and timing to defeat. While these single-player modes are relatively simple, they add variety and give players alternative ways to engage with the game when online matches are unavailable. Progression within Kill Him! Online Wars is handled through a basic leveling and currency system. Completing matches and defeating enemies rewards players with experience points and in-game gold. Experience contributes to leveling up the player’s character, while gold can be spent in the game’s shop to unlock new characters and weapons. As players gain access to better equipment, they can experiment with different combat styles depending on the weapons they choose. Some weapons provide rapid fire capabilities suitable for aggressive players, while others offer heavier damage that rewards more careful aiming. This gradual unlocking system gives players a sense of progression that encourages them to keep playing matches in order to expand their arsenal. The game also includes a custom room system that allows players to create private matches and invite friends. This feature adds a social dimension to the gameplay, enabling groups of players to organize their own battles without relying entirely on public matchmaking. Friendly competitions, practice matches, or cooperative play against zombies become possible through these private sessions. A global scoreboard further supports the competitive aspect by allowing players to compare their achievements and rankings with others across the community. Visually, Kill Him! Online Wars adopts a deliberately simple voxel-style aesthetic. Characters are represented by blocky pixelated figures, and environments consist of minimalistic arenas designed primarily for fast gameplay rather than visual complexity. Bright colors and exaggerated shapes make it easy to identify players and projectiles during hectic combat encounters. While the graphics are far from cutting-edge, they help maintain clarity during battles and keep the game accessible for players with lower-end hardware. The lightweight design ensures smooth performance even during intense firefights. The audio design follows a similarly straightforward approach. Gunshots, explosions, and other combat effects provide immediate feedback during battles, reinforcing the arcade feel of the gameplay. Background music tends to be energetic and upbeat, helping maintain the fast pace of matches without distracting players from the action. Although the sound design lacks the cinematic quality of larger shooters, it effectively supports the game’s casual and chaotic atmosphere. However, the simplicity that defines Kill Him! Online Wars can also become one of its weaknesses. While the basic mechanics are easy to learn, they do not offer much depth compared to more sophisticated multiplayer shooters. The limited number of maps and gameplay variations means that matches can begin to feel repetitive after extended play sessions. Additionally, the overall polish of the mechanics—particularly movement and collision systems—can feel somewhat rough around the edges, which may affect the experience for players accustomed to more refined shooters. Another challenge for the game lies in its player population. Because the multiplayer mode is central to the experience, having an active community is important for keeping matches lively and engaging. In smaller indie titles like this one, finding active matches can sometimes be difficult depending on the time of day or the number of players online. When the player base is limited, the multiplayer experience may lose some of its excitement. Despite these shortcomings, Kill Him! Online Wars still succeeds in delivering a simple and accessible arena shooter that works well as a casual multiplayer experience. Its quick match structure, easy-to-understand controls, and straightforward progression system make it approachable for players who want fast action without committing to complex competitive games. While it may not compete with larger shooters in terms of depth or production value, it provides enough chaotic fun to entertain players looking for short bursts of multiplayer combat. Overall, Kill Him! Online Wars stands as a modest indie shooter that embraces simplicity and arcade-style gameplay. Its combination of multiplayer battles, survival challenges, and unlockable content offers a light but entertaining experience, especially when played with friends. Players seeking deep tactical gameplay or highly polished mechanics may find the experience limited, but those who enjoy quick arena shooters with a casual atmosphere can still find moments of enjoyable chaos within its pixelated battlefields.
