Game controls feel clunky and combat is boring. alt+f4'd and uninstalled the game immediately after finding blobfish. That meme has been dead and unfunny for years.

the game not working.
This is absolutely one of those games that could be bigger an become and IP mixing elements of a couple of 3D platformer games most notably prince of persia. Love the art style and music. This is is a really fun game despite a couple of issues that im sure will be worked out before it comes out of early access like the grabbing net vines mechanic. It's definitely worth a play though or two and the achievements seem to work.
Hola. 7/10
I had the pleasure of playing Katto: Rising Tides, a title my friend has been working on these past few years as a Game Designer. It's certainly a very interesting project to study and have as a real reference if you want to create a real video game with a team and supervisors. Although I think it's important to keep this in mind: 'This is a FREE game made by students as their first professional project.' So it's really admirable the work they did from scratch and the whole interactive set they created. I love the art style, it's unique, fresh and mixes 3D animation with 2D illustrations perfectly. The core mechanics are simple, but they give you an interesting exploration in each scenario with all the interactive elements. Some parts were a bit difficult for me because of the enemies or a specific platform, but it's normal for this to happen due to the strict time frames in development. The boss battle was fun to play, it is unfair during boss attacks at times and needs to be fine-tuned a bit, but I liked it as a personal challenge and defeated it twice. To conclude, I invite everyone to try and enjoy Egatlea for yourselves 🙌🏻 GREAT JOB TEAM! 👏🏻
jumping is hard to do ..
It seemed...endearing, surely, but I can't recommend it, honestly. A game that tells me I should use a controller and then either fails to properly detect mine or just has a bad enough tutorial that it instructs me to use my controller and mouse simultaneously is already pushing its luck, but suffering an instant death with significant consequences for it was a line too far for me. Even that aside, I probably wouldn't recommend if it weren't free, just because the story is pretty...nonexistent from what I was exposed to. An overlong, especially challenging tutorial that doesn't give one a taste for the supposedly funny story of the game isn't what I'd call a selling point.
