It's Jezzball.

Good old Jezzball. Brings back windows 95 memories. Still the same old thing but with a few extra modes, nothing special, but if you're looking for Jezzball, here you go.

Got it because of the DND podcast "Dungeons and Daddies". Kept it because it's fun.

Like many players here, I found myself feeling nostalgic for Jezzball; an early 90's PC title that was bundled with computers as part of the Microsoft Entertainment Pack. With curiosity getting the better of me, I was pleased to discover Jezzball Atomic for sale on Steam. In a nutshell, everything that made the original Jezzball fun and addictive has been remastered in Jezzball Atomic. Simple, easy to pickup gameplay, updated graphics, new enemies, a slow motion feature (perfect for handling trickier moments of gameplay against swarms of pesky atoms), and three modes of play: Classic - The Jezzball experience we all remember. Trap red atoms in an infinite number of levels that gradually get more difficult as players progress. Arcade - Play through 40 challenging levels with new enemy types. Players are rated 1 to 3 stars based on how much of the screen they have cleared at the end of each level. Clearing all 40 levels with a three star rating is no easy feat; offering a considerable challenge to even the most-seasoned of Jezzball experts out there. Survival - Clear as many levels as possible with a limited number of replenishing powerups. If you're looking for a surprising new twist on a 90's PC classic, give Jezzball Atomic a spin. It's $6 price point is a great value for a modern update. Pros: ------- - Updated graphics - Fast-paced, easy to pickup gameplay just like the original - New enemy types - Three modes of play - Star rating system for added challenge. - Budget-friendly $6 price point. - Can be played with a mouse, keyboard or controller. Cons: ----------------------------------- - No online co-op or versus modes (fingers crossed for a sequel).

If you're looking for JezzBall as it was back in the 90s, this is as close as it gets. It plays exactly the same, just looks different. There are some bonus game modes which are fun too. I do wish it could look a bit more like the classic game, but that's about he only complaint I have as someone who was looking for classic JezzBall.

It's what it claims to be, just like the classic but with fun alternate game modes. Good casual game to play for a few minutes here and there.
