Fun to play, however, this game does NOT autosave. Unfortunately, the game crashed just past the start of Chapter 5 and I had to start all over from the beginning. Save your game periodically!
This game wants to be Monkey Island, and fails in most every way. Good thing I was using multiple saves because I found a soft-lock. Writing it bland if not makes a lot of presumptions. the Caricatures are in your face and accurate; up to and including the secondary player character doing a "are we the bad guys?" no less then 3 times like they forgot it the previous 2 times.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A 3D graphic adventure game, very much in the style of Monkey Island 4. Recommended, but it is not even close to one of the best games I have played in this category. Decent story, with some British humor, lots of jokes about the queen and tea. Perhaps the story of the main protagonist, his childhood, is too forced. Negative Aspects: -Sometimes like every 3D game of that time, some scenarios seem half empty (like there are people missing, vegetation or something). -it has 1killbug, meaning you cannot continue the game (We will have to load a previous one, and pray that it does not happen again). -The ending has undoubtedly been extended quite a bit, so that the game seems longer than it really is. -If you play it or not it doesn't matter, it is not a gaming feat. -Although the puzzles are quite simple, not having a way to project the objects with which we can interact, sometimes it can be difficult for us to know what we should do. Some things are visibly difficult to find... -There is a version with voices and subtitles in Spanish, although they are not available on Steam. I recommend it even though it is not a Monkey Island...
dämliche Rätsel. Finger weg, da gibt es bessere PnC-Adventures
chinese plz thx. Ach need.
Mostly no, but yes as a joke.
great game with a very interesting plot
This game has a wonderfully vibrant art style which brings me a great deal of joy. The basic plot and a few of the characters have plenty of charm. The animation is surprisingly good for a point and clicker of the era. ...and I'm done with the good. Look in my steam library and you will see I am no stranger to slightly janky adventure games but this one is just poor. The writing is terribly stilted, in the manner of a few German made examples of the era, where I cannot tell if that is because some wit and punning is lost in the translation, the game is written in english by non-native speakers, or was just badly written to start with, language has nothing to do with it. Possibly it is a combination of more than one of these. The voice acting is a mixed bag, some pretty good and peppy, some pretty bad. Despite the main character's voice generally being pretty good, his pair of "I can't use these things together" lines are delivered in an extremely irritating way, and trust me, you will hear those lines more than any other line of dialogue in the game. I'll come back to why. There are also some perhaps marginally problematic Indian accents, too. No 'Deus Ex Hong Kong levels' of really bad accents, but still. Back to the "I can't use these things together" line. The puzzles. By ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ god. Did the designers start every planning session by getting baked out of their damned minds? Were they also super genius cryptographers to start with? I assume both these things are true. The puzzles are all over the shop and some are completely intractable. Compounding that, there is some nasty pixel hunting, made worse by dynamic camera angles, which is a pity as these are otherwise welcome. Deep Silver games of the era (which I feel this invites comparison to), had a dedicated 'show interactive points' button, which would have hugely improved this. Also, if you try something vaguely sane or "along the right lines" the game will very very occasionally drop a hint to you through a line the main character says. Something like "that won't work just yet". The game, given how obtuse it is, needed to be much less sparing with those lines. Also, and call me a weak minded amateur, the lines themselves should actually have given a meaningful clue in my opinion, rather than being more cryptic than a fortune teller who speaks everything backwards. In short, do not recommend. If you want point and click swashbuckling adventure of this era, go for Deep Silver's Lost Horizon (I see in my library that I bought those two on the same day and thank god I played that one first and left this one for a rainy day as that one was vastly superior). If you want Pirate themed, I hear there is a man who wants to be a pirate, you might have heard of him? Guybrush someone or other??
