IRON NEST: Heavy Turret Simulator

The turret and guns are slow, every time you have to acquire a target it takes a time comparable to continental drift for the massive tin can to turn and raise, even loading a shell is a minute long process of deciding shell type and number of powder charges. You fight against the slow, heavy, and over-designed engineering to drop shells heavier than a Volkswagen on targets. Even the coffee maker has you controlling pressure and temperature, and that’s not even talking about if you don’t fix steam leaks fast enough and have to restart the engines. But, as you play, you become one with the machine. What was annoyance at the slow horizontal traverse becomes anticipation, watching the massive gun breach rise and the barrel lower as it approaches the correct angle becomes suspense, double and triple checking your angle, bearing, and shell type become a ritual as you line up the shot that could be the difference between a Medal, Court Martial, and a Miss. +1,001 points for style, gameplay, and a very clear amount of love put into the game. -1 for making me work for the French. 1,000/10 game, worth every dollar, Operator, High Command calls upon the Iron Nest.
