This game is interesting. It's an on-rail quicktime RPG where you watch your character plow through levels based on your reaction time. You can also enable auto-combat and basically have the game play itself. It's an interesting mix of genres and a fun way to kill some time. Sadly they announced that they'll be shutting down the servers at the end of the month. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2865518772
Красиво звісно, але це ж і далі мобільна гра з режимом автобою орієнтована на донат. Ні, дякую.

I love this game! And I can explain why, and what might be putting some people off. Essentially, this is John Wick with a sword! The combat here is as brutal as brutal gets. The graphics are incredible, this game looks beautiful - especially for the type/genre of this game, it's stunning. As surprising in detail and smoothness of action as the Asphalt series. Just somehow bringing more to the experience than the little demands of the game should account for. Okay, so, what it is: an upgrades driven, energy restricted, choice of autoplay or player play, PvE and PvP multiplayer mediaeval solo fighter type game. That's it, the premise is very simple. If it wasn't for the gorgeousness of the presentation, this game might set well on mobile or as a browser game. The energy system is restrictive, more so for new starters because your upper energy limit only goes up as you level up. I think maximum energy starts at 20 and at first it might seem like you really can't do much with 20 energy. You will literally spend a quarter of that on one story battle. But, like in most games like this, the early days see you levelling up quickly. Every time you level up, your energy for PvE and PvP is filled to max. So your first play session will be much longer than the initial energy would seem to indicate. The main story is the 'campaign' option, split into chapters with 10 battles, I think, with a boss level at the end. Each of these battles can be re-run in regular, hard, extreme, or brutal modes. The easiest battles are the cheapest to get into, and cost between 4 and 6 energy to enter. I let the character auto-battle. I like watching, I love games that play themselves. He won't use his special skills though, on auto, you still have to trigger those for him if he gets into trouble. But these battles. Crikey, they look good. At first, I was shocked by the immersion and the brutality. It gets you thinking and appreciating - if one guy in armour armed with a sword, bow, and axe, ran up to an enemy castle - where they were expecting him! - howww much of a suicide mission that would be. Mediaeval combat is brutal! omg! What he does to the enemy, what they do to him! Watching him fight in this gritty dirty way, you realise - wow, you would always get injured! lol! At the very least! This way of fighting is insane! But then... your equipment improves some.... and the improved equipment comes with improved skills... and the skills auto-proc in certain situations. You level up, you get more HP, faster, more accurate. There slowly comes a time when the dirty visceral mediaeval desperate sword swinging has become something else. This guy swings his sword, and there's a red glow at the edge of it! He's ionising the air with his powerful swing! He's starting to knock people twenty feet backwards! This is looking less like dirty mediaeval realism, and more like something out of the X-Men! He's somewhere between soldier and demonic force! The suicide missions now, are on the part of the dozen or so guys who are running toward him! Omgaaaahh! You would run away! lol! You would run away from a guy doing what he's doing! The level of brutality remains, he kills in rough and creative and sudden ways! If someone falls over, he will pounce and stake that guy to the ground! Dead! It literally is like watching John Wick levels of violence, over and over, and it's compelling! I love to watch him fight! It just doesn't get old. I've thought about it, it's so compelling, and part of that is in the vicious way he does things: he doens't just fire his bow, he leaps forward as he does so! He driiiives his movements, he's vicious, he's drawn vicious, he moves viciously! Dayummmm! Okay, so, tight energy system both for PvP and PvE, what gives? How do you play this game, just in little bursts? Well... There are 5 different activities you can do, each with different costs: Campaign - costs regular energy. Daily Dungeon - costs regular energy (and a lot of it! 5 for normal, 15 for hard... etc. etc..) Only 1 daily dungeon opens up per day, tho' you can spend real money to open others if you want to choose others. Attack another player's fortress - the PvP in this isn't really PvP, it's more like, P vs something that the other player has put troops on to defend in his absence. It's not in real time, you just attack placements and see if you can overcome the defence laid out. Your own fortress generates income - gold (the in game currency) and rubies (the things you'd buy with real money to accelerate your progress) Which, ofc, is pretty good! You can also win rubies as you play, and it's nice to be able to get some of the legendary chests from time to time with the rubies you get :) Other players can't steal your income, they get their own rewards for successfully attacking your fortress. The fortress generated income caps out after 2 hours. So, in theory, you could multiply your income by 12 simply by logging in every 2 hours to scoop rewards. But I don't, I just grab what's there when I log in, and grab it again before I log out, after it has replenished a little bit. Tower of Trials - costs hero cards to enter. I think you get a few hero cards per day, and can also pick them up as battle rewards. Legacy Tower is free to enter, but you can only enter it once per day. Battling your way up this tower wins you hammers, and you can take these hammers to the forge and this is probably where you'll get your first decent gear. Events - these are cheap! 1 energy per battle! This is the mainstay of early progress in the game. So... you start off with 10 PvP energy, and however many PvE energy. Both of them replenish 1 per 10 mins. This is strangely fast, once you get into the game. In fact, part of the strategy is in making sure you have less than max energy in order to benefit from the incoming replenishment. and especially watch for how close you are to levelling up! I have lost untold amounts of energy by having high stocks when I levelled up >< dymmit. so... these battles... how long do they take? I think maybe 2 minutes, usually, something like that. So, if you spank your entire 10 PvP energy on 10 Fotress attacks, then you generate 2 more PvP and 2 more PvE energy in the 20 mins taken to do that. So.... don't let your PvE energy sit at max while you're doing PvP, make sure it's at least 2 below full before you set out to conquor. Similarly, if you're spending 1 energy per battle on an event, and you've got 12, 30, or like me 40 PvE energy to spend, yeahh, make sure your PvP energy is way below max, because it will have replenished by the time you're done. Also, the towers don't cost any energy to enter, and going up them takes tiiiime. Again, make sure you have the space to receive 1 energy every 10 mins while you're tackling a tower. So basically, whenever you finish one of the 5 main things to do, you've usually got something left of the other 4 to do... over and over really, this can go on for a loooooong time before you actually completely spend out of energy. That happens, of course, more so in the early stages, but it's easy to live with. Join an Alliance! The Alliance screen takes soooooo long to load, that I thought it was glitched, or maybe not even added to the game yet. I got to lvl 30 before I realised other players' names had their Alliance noted too, and I was like, it must be working! ... just wait.. .and wait... and wait... and wait.... the Alliance screen will eventually load, and you can join. If your'e in an alliance, you get much more rewards for event fights. Wish I had realised sooner.... It's free to create an alliance, so you can do like I do, just make one so as to get extra benefits, and not have anyone kick you out when you're offline for a few days. This game really is pinnacle in it's type. Definitely worth a try, especially if, like me, you like to watch a movie while you play a game :)
