The idea of an Elseworlds story where Superman goes rogue sounded awesome on paper unfortunately, the execution left a lot to be desired. The biggest issue for me was the gameplay, It just felt clunky. Moving and pulling off combos here felt heavy and stiff. Then there’s the story. Even though it’s explicitly an alternate universe, a lot of the characters just straight-up feel mischaracterized. It’s hard to get invested when the writing feels off for heroes you know and love. We’ve seen plenty of "Evil Superman" stories done well over the years, and honestly, there are just a lot of better versions of that trope out there than what we got here. Visually, it looks ok for its time, and the cinematic super moves are fun to watch the first few times, but they can't carry the flawed core mechanics. It’s not a completely terrible experience, but between the stiff combat and the frustrating character writing, it just didn't do it for me. 4/10
