it's to slow.. Bottleneck. it is a game made for cheaters with autoclicker. Broken wrist and 550 hours played -> still not made first ascension. this design is a thumbs down for me.
评分:1/5 评测:挂机游戏,主题是图书馆。游戏的画面就只是纯文字,一张图片都没有,全靠数值点点点,所以玩起来实在是没有太大游戏体验,在挂机游戏中算非常一般了
#tinygamereview

A library-themed idle game that quietly exists, much like a study session where you forgot why you sat down. It passes the time, but not much else.
🟧 MISFILED 🟧

🎮 🟧Gameplay: A very standard clicker loop—generate resources, buy upgrades, repeat—without much variation or escalation. It works, but never really builds into anything interesting. 🔊 🟧Audio: Sparse and inoffensive, the kind of background noise you stop noticing almost immediately. It fits the idle vibe, if nothing else. 🖼️ 🟧Visuals: Clean but generic, with assets that feel loosely assembled rather than thoughtfully designed. It looks fine, just not memorable.

#readme
I AI-generated most of this "review" because art imitates life imitates art, or something. I spent about an hour and a half with Idle Library, and that feels like the exact right amount of time for what it is. It’s a functional idle game with a light theme, but it never really evolves beyond that initial “okay, I get it” phase. What stood out more than anything was how the game approximates libraries. Some terminology is correct, some ideas feel adjacent, and some mechanics seem like educated guesses. It’s not wrong enough to be distracting, but it’s just off enough to notice if you’ve ever actually used a library beyond checking out a book or two. Which, unintentionally, becomes the most interesting part of the experience: it reminds you that real libraries are far more dynamic than this. You can learn to read and compose music, for example—and some systems even let you borrow instruments. The Traverse City Area District Library, for instance, offers instrument rentals alongside its usual catalog. That’s a more compelling “upgrade tree” than anything happening here. You’ve also got free access to ebooks, audiobooks, classes, and community events at most libraries—systems that actually interconnect and serve a purpose, rather than just incrementing numbers on a screen. It’s the same general idea, just…real, and better thought out. Idle Library isn’t bad, exactly—it’s just kind of there. As a clicker, it functions. As a theme, it drifts. And as a reminder to maybe check out what your local library actually offers, it’s surprisingly effective. Also, if you hate AI-generated reviews, check out the sentence patterns and lexical choices that this review makes and hold it up to a ton of other reviews on Steam as a benchmark for how many reviews out there are actually AI-generated, and ask Steam/Valve to do something about it. Those em-dashes? The overuse of words like "quiet" and "quietly"? Bad AI earmarks (or, worse, someone who's just exposed to a lot of AI writing). If this review gets taken down in the process, I'll be happy so long as lazy AI "writing" also takes it in the shins.
#memorycard
What stood out: 📌Library concepts feel loosely interpreted rather than fully understood. 📌Progression never meaningfully evolves beyond the basic loop. 📌Accidentally highlights how much more interesting real libraries are. Who it's for: 🎁Idle/clicker fans looking for something low-commitment 🎁Players curious about AI-assisted or AI-generated projects 🎁Background-game enjoyers who want something to click through while multitasking 🎁Anyone who might close the game and go explore their local library instead

🤓Curator: Brickroad Amusements
Semi-idler. you need to unlock some of the auto advances first. Also very repetitive and boring even for an idle game. no real graphics to speak of, mostly text based. advance, reset, advance, ascend... repeat repeat repeat. 4/10 as far as idlers go.
Too much click focus in current state, feels unrewarding to upgrade when you know an auto clikcer would be 100x faster
**FIRST TIME REVIEWER** The release of the game was very fast hitting 100% completion. But you can tell the developer read the reviews with the latest updates. The game looks and feels more organized and has long lasting systems that have been explained and make more sense. Once you get your library going it is nice to see BIIIGGG numbers just running up on a second monitor. Excited to see future updates.
