It's hard to enjoy this game when the menus are barely functional. Even if you switch to WASD, the menu will continuously switch you back to arrow keys before the setting finally sticks. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the default key bindings: arrow keys for movement, space for jump, and... mouse for aiming? Are you meant to have three hands in order to play? Even worse was when I went into the concept art menu and couldn't get out because every single key on my keyboard simply opened the first sketch again and wouldn't let me navigate out. Bugs aside, the only thing this game really has going for it is the art style, but the actual implementation leaves much to be desired. The only three colors you'll see are black, red, and white. This would be fine if not for the fact that the backgrounds are incredibly busy, effects like red light flashes can make it hard to see, and enemies can be hidden behind foreground scenery. I'll also echo whoever said that the level designs weren't really cohesive. It's frustrating to see a collectible which you can't reach and the game hasn't even given you any indication of how you're meant to get it. To make things worse, you know that you could have seen the key somewhere in the level if it weren't likely blended into the background along with everything else that's been piled in there which uses the same palette. The story is pretty much nonexistent in the portion of the game that I played. Most of the dialogue is some kind of lame meta-reference meant to make the game seem quirky without putting in much effort. The overall atmosphere looks like it was set by... well do you remember being in middle school and knowing that one kid who would "rawr x3" for no reason and never say anything original? Well, it sort of feels like they were responsible for this entire game. I might revisit this game sometime in the future. It looked promising when I bought it as part of a bundle, but I lost steam (pun not intended) quickly when I realized how little the developer seemed to care about putting out a product that's playable.

Barely functional on PC but works perfectly on Steam deck somehow, thank you Valve I guess? I hope the dev comes back and fixes it but that seems unlikely.
the game is not functional. if i had a controller plugged in the menus were 4 fps but the game was fine. if i didn't everything was 14 fps. you can unplug and plug the controller in and watch your framerate stop. there are so many problems that the music doesn't even play.
A lost Virtua-Boy classic- by which I mean the all-red flashing screen made me nauseous.
10/10
A very adorable take on hell. Suprisingly good music and graphics. definetly worth the price
game pretty, controls bad! it's easy to get lost in the background.
this game itself is the definition of wasted potential. first off the good sides: soundtrack was made by jimmy urine which is just awesome and gives the game a whole character to it. when you start it the game just screams early 2000s at you. im a little disappointed the soundtrack did not get an official release since i think it is REALLY good and maybe one of the main reasons to play this game. another reason would be the unique artstyle the game has. it looks like an emo/goth world mixed with invader zim characteristics which does sound weird at first but fits perfectl fine together. the humor of the game is the third point that i want to point out. it has some really dark jokes and doesnt take itself as a game so serious. it breaks the wall between the player every now and then, which is pretty cool and well made between the worlds and summarized in beautifully drawn comics that represent the style of the game even better. the negative points i want to point out are mainly about the gameplay itself. you have to get used to it pretty badly and the gun you are using is really hard to aim with since it only gives you 3 directions to aim with. you do use the stick for running also for aiming which makes it a little frustrating at some harder platform levels. there could also be more variety in the weapons and the general equipment, it gets a little repetitive. :c but all in one this game shines through with a nice sense of humor and a cool style! try it none the less. would only recommend it for people who have a controller tho because the keyboard controls are a mess and make it clear that this game is simply intended for a controller.
It's not the worst game ever, but it does come with more than its fair share of problems. I just beat the first world with little trouble but my main annoyance is changing the controls. It's glitchy as hell and the game seems to have issues when you want to switch from D-pad to WASD. I've heard people say that the dev offers no support and the game lags (I haven't seen the latter so far; fps is playable). I like the theme. It's cute, fun, and unique. The Vasquez-style graphics are well-appreciated, and I get a huge Invader Zim vibe from this. My only real complaints is the glitches when changing controls and the fact that you only seem to get a shotgun for fighting. I have yet to see any other weapons up to this point and I can't find any playthroughs on Youtube to give info about it. I'm hoping they give you more than a shotgun to work with, because the reload speed is slow and it gets tedious after a bit. Play it if you want - not that expensive and if you fiddle with the controls a bit they might turn in your favor (it eventually worked for me). I'm going to give this game a... 3/5. Reasonably playable and doesn't disappoint, but needs some huge improvements.
