Not very far in. Tutorials through the first 1-10 levels which is fine until the pop ups don't allow you to see part of the game and enjoy the game. Also, there's pressure to do micro-transactions for Rubies to get the best upgrade for buildings AND substitute for money that the game doesn't allow you to earn fast enough. I'm level 9 so far and annoyed at the 3 'notifications' icons on the left that really wants me to buy Rubies or their starter package with $ and the tutorial girl on the right that keeps telling me that I need to buy more stables with the foal that she basically forced me to breed in the same aspect. Likely a mobile game made into a steam game. The game does not have settings to adjust resolution nor window-ed mode so you can't just have it idle on the side. Do not play unless you wanna micro-transaction or have plenty of patience.

Insta insane moneygrab on this one.
Warning: Microtransaction infested mobile app! This mobile app is not free, it's infested with a nasty mobile-style in-app cash shop. You will be expected to hand over cash to the "developers" just for playing the game.
"Horse Farm" is just one of thousands of non-free mobile apps polluting the "free" category on Steam, and it carries hidden, toxic monetization. This garbage iPhone screen tapper pretends to be a "horse tycoon" game, but in reality is a deliberate, malicious and toxic attempt to get children spending large amounts of money on in-game currency in mobile apps. It's bad enough when mobile devs run these scams, but when they specifically target and prey on children with "progress dopamine" hits and cash transactions, that's just cancer of the type only a soulless ghoul would have no qualms about. This is a purely superficial game experience designed for iPhones. The graphics and the mechanics are bottom-tier... imagine the gaudy, cheap plastic casing on the slot machines at the casino. That's what this is, a cheap flashy veneer on a shallow non-game with one single purpose... to get your money through nasty mobile app microtransactions. Ignoring that this is just a nasty predatory mobile app scam... at best, this is a garbage iPhone app. I didn't drop thousands on a high-end gaming rig just to pretend it's an iPhone, and I doubt you did either... this sort of trash has no business worsening your Steam library. As with all mobile scams, you're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality mobile app, this is specifically designed to invalidate your consumer rights and destroy your right to privacy. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. I had my cat walk over the keyboard while the EULA was displaying, which fixed that problem for me. This game is fairly dated at 8 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. Let's talk about price and the value this represents for us gamers. Given that this free game won't increase your game collector count, is it worth your time to add it to your library? No way. This is just impossible to recommend to serious PC gamers. I didn't spend any money on this, but I still feel like I got scammed.
I barely made it through the tutorial, i know I'm not the most patient person but i swear there was a full screen prompt every 10 seconds. half of them could have been compiled into one pop up and the tutorial time would be cut in half and much easier to navigate. But i was really let down when the tutorial finally ended and it looked exactly like a mobile game with giant pulsing shimmering badges taking up the whole screen, telling me to buy the starter pack and 'spend 50 gems get 20 in your piggybank' that you then have to pay to get. Maybe its me, but i was expecting a PC game.
Underrated masterpiece, 10/10
The game starts with fun, but quickly becomes a high spend to play game. Even if you try "farm" credits you need, the new buildings are unlocked even faster. This means your "visitors" are always needing this you cannot build, unless you pay for extra credits regularly.
when i logged off and went to go log back in it wont load and comes up with an error code
The concept is good. But It's definitely a pay-to-win type game. You could log in daily for weeks, and still not be able to afford a building you're required to buy...
