The pinnacle of its genre. No other metroidvania even comes close, not even its excellent sequel. A game so good I got 100% of the achievements on two separate platforms without even grinding for them, just because I enjoy playing it that much. Even as I have mostly soured on metroidvanias in recent years, something about this one keeps pulling me back. The exploration, visuals, soundtrack, and especially combat are all amazing. Would be a bargain at triple the price.
