About
Highrise isn't a game you watch. It's a place you live in. You show up, you dress up, and somewhere between your ninth outfit change and 4AM, you realize you've made a best friend.
There are over 50,000 items in Highrise spanning streetwear, luxury, vintage, and fantasy. You can layer them, clash them, and build looks that nobody's put together before. What makes Highrise different is people notice. Your outfit is your first impression in every room you walk into, and in a community this size, first impressions compound into reputation.
Every item has a price, and players are the ones who set it. The marketplace runs on scarcity, demand, and taste. You can trade directly with someone, list something and wait for the right offer, or sit on a rare piece and watch its value climb over weeks. Nobody's buying from an NPC shop. Every transaction is player to player.
You build your own space from scratch, or you wander into someone else's and stay because the vibe is right. Some rooms are meticulously decorated lounges. Others are chaotic bingo nights where everyone's yelling over voice chat. Fashion shows, dance parties, chill sessions that turn into three-hour conversations with people you just met. The variety comes from the people you meet.
Most social games promise community and deliver a chat box. Highrise has real voice conversations with real people.
Your avatar, your inventory, your friends list, all of it carries across PC, Mac, and mobile. Start a conversation on your phone, pick it up on your laptop. Nothing resets.

Fun lil game, reminds me of habbo, woozworld, etc. Used to play religiously in like 2023 and recently came back to it. You can even go on VC, beef rooms were peak. Only complaint is how much everything is, it's incredibly money grabbing. A pack of a few "exclusive" legendary items are as much as a f***ing triple A game and these come out frequently. I don't think you will be able to get much if you're not gonna put a little money into this game, unless you are lucky enough to be given gold from people that spend way too much money on this game lol
It may not seem like it at first but the game has a lot of bugs and glitches (both the pc and phone version). Some item's are also very glitchy, some of them not layering correctly (which support team apparently can't fix, waited 10 days just for them to tell me they are unable to fix a simple layering issue.) They are using AI for a lot of their new item designs (what happened to creativity?), they are also stealing player designs without crediting them, also running their work through AI. They have tons of scammers and hackers running through the game on a daily basis, I have never seen it this bad in any game before in my life honestly! Not to mention, these hackers they let roam free on their app, if you get hacked by any of them you will not get your account back and you will not get your items back. Highrise will not even attempt to help save your account, even if you spent HUNDEREDS and THOUSANDS of dollars, they will instead hold you accountable and blame you. Tell you it's your fault and tough luck (throughout my years on Highrise I have seen this happen to many players). The Devs completely gave up on their game, they're not fixing anything, they are not taking player concerns seriously (which is a known occurrence but this is absolutely the worst it has ever been.) Constantly releasing old items, and re-designed old elite items to get a bang for their buck because money is all they care about. The players that could make a difference (the one's with large followings, the one's who are praised, the apple of Highrise eyes due to their elite status) keep quiet. The game has had ALOT of potential, but it remains going down the wrong path. Highrise, do better!!
omg i love this so much, it has all styles, lgbtq, all races, and everyone is so kind! i mean really so fun, i love everything!!
If you love fashion, creativity, and making new friends, this is the perfect game. The clothing designs are stunning, the chat rooms are active, and there is always something fun to do. It runs smoothly and is incredibly addictive. Definitely check it out!
♥♥♥♥ and lame game for losers who cant go outside of the house *(kids)
Developed and published by Pocket Worlds, Highrise: Avatar & Social World arrives on Steam as a social sandbox that prioritizes interaction and self-expression over traditional gameplay systems. Rather than presenting players with quests, combat encounters, or competitive objectives, the experience centers on building an online identity and engaging with a global community. It successfully translates the appeal of long-running virtual social spaces into an accessible format, inviting players to step into a world where creativity and communication are the primary attractions. The game's biggest selling point is its extensive avatar customization. Highrise offers an enormous selection of clothing, hairstyles, accessories, and cosmetic items that allow users to craft a digital persona that reflects their personality. Fashion serves as both a form of expression and a social currency, with rare items becoming highly desirable among dedicated players. The ability to constantly reinvent one's appearance gives the platform a sense of longevity, as collecting and showcasing new looks becomes a rewarding activity in itself. Players who enjoy dress-up mechanics and virtual lifestyle experiences will likely find plenty to appreciate in the sheer variety available. Beyond customization, Highrise thrives on its social infrastructure. Public rooms, private gatherings, voice and text chat, clubs, and community events provide countless opportunities to meet other players. Every session can feel different depending on the people encountered, whether participating in a casual conversation, attending a themed event, or simply exploring user-created spaces. The game's emphasis on player-driven experiences means there is always something happening, and the active community serves as the backbone of the entire platform. It captures the feeling of an always-online social destination rather than a game with a defined beginning and end. Another highlight is the creative freedom afforded to its users. Highrise encourages players to build rooms and contribute to the ecosystem through creation tools that expand the possibilities of the platform. User-generated content plays a major role in keeping the experience fresh, as imaginative environments and events continually emerge from the community itself. This approach gives players a greater sense of ownership and ensures that the world evolves alongside its audience. For aspiring creators, the game offers a space to experiment, collaborate, and leave a lasting impression within the community. However, Highrise's design philosophy also means it may not resonate with everyone. Players expecting structured progression, deep gameplay mechanics, or narrative-driven content may struggle to remain engaged for long periods. Like many free-to-play social experiences, monetization is heavily focused on cosmetics, and some of the most desirable items are tied to premium purchases. New players may also find the established communities and extensive item catalog somewhat intimidating at first, requiring time to fully settle into the experience. Ultimately, Highrise: Avatar & Social World succeeds as a digital social hub that embraces creativity, individuality, and community interaction. Pocket Worlds has created a platform that understands its audience and leans into the strengths of virtual socialization. While it lacks the traditional hooks associated with most games on Steam, it offers an engaging alternative for players who value connection and self-expression above all else. For those willing to immerse themselves in its vibrant online culture, Highrise delivers an enjoyable and surprisingly expansive social experience. Rating: 7/10
