High On Life 2

ive not played the story yet but i can confirm this is an unoptimised mess. if your game looks broken when you dont use upscaling tech then your game is broken, if changing graphics settings causes a framerate drop of 20-50 percent that can only be fixed by restarting the game then your game is broken. devs should not release things that are not finished

I'm keep this blunt and to the point. I love Squanch Games I love High On Life 1 Had tons of fun on it. High on life 2? Seems lazy to me. I don't want to go over the 2 hours of playtime because I'm thinking of refunding for that reason ***Light spoiler alert*** [spoiler] In the beginning of the game you find out that Gene using money the bounty hunter (you) made from bounty (and ad deals) he buys new legs, is in a fancy suit, has jewelry, etc. literally right after you're riding in a limo with him hes wearing this. Then you and him end up in the house talking about how your sister is tied up in some ♥♥♥♥, well guess what your boy gene is wearing. Nothing new. All his new stuff is gone jewelry clothes legs, gone. They used the old gene asset of him on the couch. Feels extremely lazy to me. I was excited to see him standing walking around and talking with you (not to trauma dump but a close family lost legs and got new prostetics.) So seeing gene in his bummy outfit from the first game kinda upset me. ***********HEAVIER SPOILERS************* [spoiler] Now the part I can't prove. The foreshadowing seems aboslutely wild its like you're told literally everthing thats going to happen to you. Theres multiple cases of this but a big one was You're going through bounty after bounty stabbing each one flashing to the next. One bounty says "you never know you could be on the other end of the bounty one day" and 15 mins later you are. and someone close to you. There was more foreshadowing that you can just tell is leading up to happen and that feels extremely lazy[spoiler] *************done with spoilers*************** In the end I got to where you get the skateboard and BOOM controls are not working. I play kbm so there was a cursor on my screen so i could not turn to control the skateboard. Thats when I closed the game sadly. With all this being said, for my love of this game I'm not going to refund it. I will pick up where I left off and hope for the best. Hopefully I can come back and change this review. To the few who read all this, Thank you for your time.

despite the bugs, I really enjoyed this game, great story with fun guns to use and mobility mechanics. I am honestly leaving a review because I hope that they make a 3rd game.

Buggiiii

I like this game, the outlaw still feels fun to play and jokes hits more than more for me. I was excited to play. Crashes, poor optimizations, loot lock out because of bug that exist since launch. I crash like 15 mins in the final fight. Imagine having great fun with a game for it to turn into a hostage situation where I'm desperately trying to finish a fight. The devs don't care about this game anymore so honestly, just watch a let's play. The game was easy to play but i was barely surviving. Don't recommend not even on sale. Shame

Game is still broken. Frame rate drop (down to 20 fps) and RAM usage spikes when going from the first base to the city.
