High On Life 2

Overall great game, and was decently long. It was definitely long enough to reach the back of my tremulant sphere, so I was ultimately pretty satisfied. One thing to note, though the scenery was beautiful, my perception device was not having it, so my eggnoggin got Creevus sores looking at the lag. The new characters landed very well, and kenny was not missed. I hope they drop a DLC, some bug fixes and a 3rd game! My fleeb was stimulated!

Solid 8.5/10 The positives: + Movement mechanics are awesome and really fun to mess around with. Even after finishing the game I find myself coming back just to mess around on the skateboard. + Level design is top notch. The levels are fun to traverse and explore with a ton of hidden goodies to pick up and secrets to find. + The game trusts you not to be stupid - it doesn't scream at you about how to solve every puzzle before you're even done looking around. + The humor is a tad different from the first game and I personally found it to hit and make me actually laugh out loud. + Variety of gameplay is also very nice. From basic combat encounters to solving murder mysteries and doing races. + The voice cast is awesome and honestly impressive. + Easter eggs are also great and so prominent you can barely call them that. From being able to play the whole of bible adventures to watching a movie with the RLM guys commenting over it. The negatives: - Guns feel kind of "samey". The last game had certain enemies that you could deal with any weapon, but certain guns gave you some advantages - like being able to freeze teleporting enemies in place or juggling rushers in the air. It's still present here, but to a lesser degree - making most guns feeling kind the same. - The bugs and optimization. I got lucky not to encounter many bugs, but some left me puzzled - like some secret puzzle rooms were already solved once I got there - all doors being open, the blob guys you use to solve them not spawning in anymore - leaving me unable to even traverse some of the locations to pick everything up. Also some problems with VRAM allocation on arch linux running hyprland where the game would sometimes crash when pausing. Really hope the devs iron out some issues and make a solid DLC like the first one had. Also - damn I hope they make a sequel, I'm really interested what this team does next with this world and story.
