Warum eigentlich immer 100 Katzen? Hier sind es 150! Überwiegend sehr gute Verstecke, die nicht offensichtlich sind, allerdings auch einige, die wiederverwendet werden. Dazu ist das Bild in mehrere Bereiche unterteilt, die sich bunt färben, sobald man sie komplettiert hat. Dies verkleinert das Suchradius für die restlichen Katzen und stellt eine klasse Mechanik dar. Der Himmel befindet sich auf einer anderen Ebene und dadurch wirkt das Bild im oberen Teil dreidimensional. Die Musik ist sehr entspannend. Insgesamt für einen Gratis-Titel relativ empfehlenswert.

Hidden Cats City is a bit of a mixed bag. I actually really liked the mechanic where an area fills with color once you find all the cats in it—it makes it very clear where you still need to search and where you're finished. However, the UI at the bottom is super annoying. There are buttons for "restart" and "score" that don't even work, and I wish there was an option to just hide the UI entirely. The biggest issue for me is the zoom; you can't zoom out completely, which gives you that "glued to the monitor" feeling that I really dislike. The map and the cats are just okay, but they definitely could have used more detail and love. Plus, the music is pretty sleepy and there’s almost no interactivity. If you're just here for the achievements, go for it, but if you want a high-quality game for fun, I'd skip this one.

Yes, but with a heavy caveat. Do not buy the DLC, I've written a seperate review for the DLC. To save you time, it has no achievements, there's vague blobs that are apparently cats... and the hints are worthless. The main puzzle is cute and fun, I love how it colours in as you finish each room, that was a delight to do. The music is nice too. I do have an issue with what counts as a cat however... A vague shape next to a curtain? That's a cat. A picture of a cat on a window? That's a cat... a picture of a cat on a wall? No, that's not a cat. Why is one picture a cat but the other isn't? Also the sky doesn't colour in till you finish the whole puzzle, but there are no cats there, so don't waste your time... like I did. Finally... buy this game quickly if you want it. It's called Hidden Cats and NukeArts have trademarked that name, so even games that had the name before NukeArts did, will be taken down if they don't change their names.... Exhausting. This one is free, but check out other things by the dev, if they don't change their games names, they'll all be gone... I hate trademark, don't you?
