About
Pilot a miniature spaceship and protect humanity from the inside out! Herodes is a fast-paced shoot ’em up where you invade the human body to hunt down a deadly virus. Destroy organic defenses and survive visceral bosses in this homage to the genre’s classics.
Herodes is an incredible shoot-’em-up set in a future where cutting-edge technology merges with the depths of the human body. Take on the role of a brave agent tasked with the ultimate mission: saving humanity from a mysterious and deadly virus that defies all known cures.
Herodes takes place in the not-too-distant future, where medicine and technology have evolved to such an extent that C.L.R.T. (Cell-Level Reduction Technology) could be created. Diseases have been eradicated, and there is no virus that cannot be defeated.
But a mysterious new virus emerges and threatens the survival of the entire human race. It cannot be defeated by any known treatment; no medicine can stop it—leaving only one option available: to eradicate it by force. Inside a modern atomic-powered spacecraft, you will be reduced to the cellular level and inserted into the depths of Patient Zero to hunt down and destroy this virus.
Explore the human body in a way never seen before in a world of pixel art graphics, where you must face terrifying enemies with classic shoot ’em up gameplay.

It’s an insane, challenging, fast-paced Shoot 'em up with a storyline, cut scenes, upgradable attributes and unlockable ships. Gameplay: https://youtu.be/Rz3ZCmbd8tY The gameplay is typical of a side-scrolling shooter and the campaign has six different levels that end very difficult of boss fights. Controls are basic and intuitive, but Herodes is a punishing game. I enjoy the unique challenge that this multidirectional gameplay offers. The game scrolls both to the left and to the right (there is a button Flip). This makes the game significantly more difficult, since enemies are swooping in and firing from all sides and you frequently have to fight your way through a myriad of shots. Herodes is a solid shoot ’em up that takes you inside the human body to eliminate a new, deadly virus. You pilot a tiny atomic-powered vehicle, shrink down to cellular level, explore different organs, and battle waves of strange enemies. The pixel art visuals are detailed and the soundtrack adds tension without overwhelming. Controls are responsive, and each level feels varied enough to keep you engaged. It may not reinvent the genre, but it delivers a satisfying, tense ride for fans of action arcade games. https://youtu.be/EINAr1MgisI
Awesome & quite hard challenging side scrolling shoot em up. Great retro style graphics, Smooth Controls, Cool music, Highly addictive game play. 7 Impressive designed Stages, Amazing variety of Enemies and Hard bosses to defeat. Lots of powerful weapons as you progress, Upgrades=Speed/Weapons/Armour to purchase & different ships to unlock. You have a dash charge button to fire your ship through hordes of alien virus scum & wipe them out, Also you can turn your ship the other way round to attack aliens coming from behind which is very useful. For fans of these type of shoot em ups i highly recommend buy this game & have lots of fun :) Excellent work both THUMBS UP!!!
Nota: 8/10
*sigh* I really wanted to like this. I love the idea of being a tiny spaceship in the human body, but this feels like an absolute slog. Levels are far too long and combat is tedious at best. I gave up on the Stomach because I need to get enough Genomes to increase my speed, otherwise I keep crashing into parts of the level because I can't move fast enough. Opted for the Kidneys which just drags on... And jumped into the heart which has a neat mechanic where you're supposed to limit the damage to the heart. Don't shoot certain parts of the level, seems like a cool idea. But once you get a weapon upgrade that shoots in 3 directions it becomes infuriating to even bother shooting things. The dash doesn't make you invulnerable so you might take damage during an attack or die when using it. The bomb has a slow motion effect that's... not great. Absolutely not digging it.
Herod manages to be interesting enough to keep the player engaged. The idea of navigating through the human body is really cool, especially with a spaceship, to the point where the game's minor sins are forgiven.
A fantastic 2D spaceship game with a unique theme where you control a ship inside a human body, battling a virus. Congratulations to the developers! I played it with the DualSense controller, and it worked flawlessly! 10/10
