HERO-E 10 из 10
Amazing. Remember the good old Commodore 64 game called H.E.R.O.? Yes, thats right! "Helicopter Emergency Rescue Operation". This is a well done inspired game of the C64 game. The controls are slick and good. Though its only in "Beta" state with 15 Levels, i would have paid for it.

Crapy gameplay
HERO-E is a spiritual remake of a 1984 arcade game called "Hero". Essentially a kind of early 2D platformer, gameplay consists of controlling a superhero through various dungeon/caves to rescue the girl. You have the ability to fly, which is a nice change from jumping all the time, but there's an energy timer, so you have to be quick. Gameplay is supplemented by the ability to drop explosives to destroy wall obstacles, and a laser eyes to shoot enemies. This is undoubtedly a sincere attempt to create an homage to a by-gone era of gaming. There's a few bells and whistles, you have a wide array of options to customise the appearance of your superhero. Controls can be adjusted, another nice touch that shows the developer went above and beyond what normal 2D retro pixel shovellers do. They chose to use obsolete retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, and while that might seem appropriate for a remake of a 1980's arcade game, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. The gaming industry moved on from "pixel" graphics as soon as the technology to do so became available. Resolution is locked, and can't be changed, and is fixed in 4:3 aspect ratio. While that might make the game more appealing to people still using CRT monitors from 1996, these flaws push this game far below minimum acceptable standards for PC today. The game is completely free. Nothing speaks more to a developers belief in themselves and their product than making their game available for everyone without remuneration. This is certainly a gesture that shows dedication to the gaming industry. It's a shame in this case that the implementation is below the minimum standards a dedicated PC game should offer to enthusiasts. There's no "maybe" option in Steam, unfortunately, but I hope to see more work from this developer, perhaps as part of a professional game development company that can make full use of their talents without needing to make budget/quality compromises.

Просто, но интересно, все зависит от ваших рук. Уровней достаточно.
I couldn't play it very long I think the music tore my brain apart faster than I realized. It was a good level of challenging and I am proud of the creators but the sounds could have improved the experience in my opinion.
Ugly disaster.
