I got this game on sale for $1.79. In terms of art provided, it's good enough relative to other one-handed games around that price. But the gameplay sucks. It's not actually clear what the gameplay is like right off the bat. I thought it would be like doctor mario—match 3 colors to make them disappear. But it's actually more like 2048, where you drop matching circles onto eachother, and they merge into a larger, higher value circle. Based on that info, the game could actually possibly be fun. But once you get into the details, the game starts to become a bit miserable. Before I go into my actual gripes with the game, I should let you know how far I've progressed so far. In 2 hours, I've 100%-ed the game, as far as they've implemented correctly. I have 3/3 stars on every level, and currently hold the global world record high score.
First of all, a detail many won't care about, but I'm actually quite upset about. It's literally impossible to unlock all achievements in this game. Half are to get 3/3 stars in each of the game levels. The other half seem to be copies of these achievements that don't have triggers implemented. Even with how much I disliked the game, I didn't refund because I was hoping to at least 100% it. But it's impossible for steam to recognize that. Hopefully the devs can at least fix this error.
Next, I see a major issue in the marketing. If you look at the pictures provided on the steam page, they show 10 pictures available for 1000 points each. But in-game they only have 6 pictures available to unlock, and they cost 20000 points each. 3 of those are worthless. 1 is a blurry BJ that's zoomed in way too far to see anything but pixelated shaft and lips. The other 2 are nudes of a character that's not even in the game. That's the green-haired lady you see in the pictures posted above. Idk where the other 4 pictures they advertised went. Additionally, I mentioned the prices because those are way too high, and just make you grind pointlessly. I'd say they should be at 5000 at most, especially since unlocking levels also costs points.
And that leads me to what I consider the overarching flaw of this game: it's just too hard to get points. When I'm playing a game one-handed, I just want to chill and unlock content. But here, I struggled to even beat level 2 on my first try. Sure, it's technically not required to beat any level since you still get points, but it's miserable to slowly drop balls to grind out points by losing levels over and over. And it really does take a long time. It doesn't sound like it since I beat the game in 2 hours, but I used 3rd party software to speed up the dropping of the balls by 500x. I probably only needed to speed up like 10x though. But on top of that, the majority of the time I just ended up spam clicking without any strategy. I'll go into my strategy a bit later, but I actually found better success when I wasn't thinking about my moves, simply because I was able to spam games more quickly, which let me eventually get lucky enough to use helpful powerups to beat the levels. Everything about it jut feels bad, and early on I decided to check the game files to see if I could just skip the gameplay and view the pictures. Without additional software to unpack, that's not possible, so I just did my best to cheese the game.
Artistically, I think it was a weird decision to make it pointless to win. The moment you unlock a level, you see whatever image you've unlocked of the character associated with that level. And then for beating it, you get nothing besides your points. 1 star is level completion, 3 stars gets you the achievement. The one thing I did quite like is that they included a secret character at the end, that they didn't even advertise on the steam page. That, I do have respect for. And she's hot, too.
If you for some reason still decide to get the game, I'll let you know what little wisdom I've gained if you're looking for that. As I said before, part of winning just comes down to spamming games until you get lucky enough. But there is at least some strategy in when to use powerups. I always prioritized the fire. Then the sword/bomb, but usually the sword. And I never found a genuine use for the potion, but maybe that's partially due to how fast I tried playing. I'd usually stack until the balls got close to the top, then sword/bomb if necessary. Fire I'd use when I got to the 3rd largest ball possible, the cloaked dude. Somewhat frequently I wouldn't get him in time and would use fire on ball before that, the birds over the brown background. Good luck :)
