Overview Heavy Metal Babes is a turn-based strategy RPG that combines anime-style visuals with adult content. Developed by SexyArts Games and published by Nutaku Publishing, the game offers a unique blend of tactical combat and steamy interactions. Released on December 21, 2020, it has garnered a mixed reception on Steam, with 68% of 825 user reviews being positive. Gameplay Mechanics In Heavy Metal Babes, players assemble a team of genetically enhanced female pilots, known as XEN units, to control powerful mechs in combat. The gameplay revolves around turn-based battles where the order of actions depends on the speed of the mechs. Players engage in various modes, including a main campaign, PvP seasons, daily challenges, and event battles with specific hero restrictions. The game emphasizes strategic planning, requiring players to manage energy resources and optimize team compositions to succeed in increasingly difficult missions. Progression involves upgrading characters, unlocking new maps, and participating in side games to enhance gameplay variety. Monetization and Progression Heavy Metal Babes is free to play but offers in-app purchases. Some players have expressed concerns about the game's monetization model, particularly regarding the cost of evolving characters and unlocking adult content. For instance, evolving a single unit to unlock their nude skin can cost approximately $20, which some players find steep. Additionally, the game's progression can be slow, with energy accumulating slowly and being spent relatively quickly, leading to a playstyle that encourages short, frequent sessions rather than extended gameplay marathons. Adult Content The game features over 140 adult scenes, including animations and erotic art, which are unlocked through gameplay progression. These scenes are integrated into the narrative and character development, with some players noting that unlocking them requires significant time investment. The adult content is depicted tastefully, with each pilot's evolution unlocking more revealing outfits and abilities, adding an extra layer to the game's appeal for its target audience. Visuals and Audio Utilizing the Unity engine, Heavy Metal Babes delivers appealing 3D visuals with smooth animations. The character designs are detailed, and the mech battles are visually engaging. The game's soundtrack complements the action, with jazzy tunes setting the mood during the main frame and high-octane music driving the will to victory during battles. Community Feedback The game's community has expressed mixed opinions. Some players appreciate the blend of strategy and adult content, finding it a fun and engaging experience. Others have voiced frustrations with the game's difficulty spikes, particularly in event battles where specific character requirements can make progression challenging. Additionally, some players feel that the game's monetization model can be prohibitive, especially for those not willing to spend money. Conclusion Heavy Metal Babes offers a unique fusion of turn-based strategy and adult content, appealing to players who enjoy tactical gameplay with a mature twist. While the game has its flaws, such as slow progression and challenging monetization, it provides an engaging experience for those seeking a blend of strategy and steamy interactions. If you're interested in a game that combines these elements, Heavy Metal Babes might be worth exploring. I hope this review has been helpful.

Pay-to-win and boring. No enjoyment or replay value.
HMB makes me happy. I don't normally play games like this, but the artwork and the lighthearted tone are both awesomeness that perfectly complement and amplify each other. I don't get the impression that the conflict of good vs evil or whatever is meant to be taken seriously, nor do I even detect a note of serious competition between the squads. It's more like a bunch of insanely, gleefully violent ladies beating the crap out of each other in 'mechs for the sheer joy of it. My only complaint is the ubiquity of ridiculously oversized hentai boobs, but I guess that's what the dudes are into. There a couple of ladies in the roster (Onix comes immediately to mind) who have normal human proportions, so I guess that's something :)
It's a fun pasttime.
Doesn't upgrade Nanochips like it should, seems to be glitching WASTING MASS amounts of credits. PVP is VERY messed up, can be couple thousand points stronger team and still loses.... WTF? Class System for battles is INSANELY unbalanced. idea is great but implimentation SUCKS!!!!
