After 662 hours in Hearts of Iron IV and owning all the DLCs, I can confidently say this is one of the best grand strategy games I've ever played. The amount of depth is incredible. Every country offers a different experience, and the DLCs add so much content that no two campaigns feel the same. Whether you enjoy historical accuracy or creating completely alternate histories, HOI4 gives you endless possibilities. Learning the combat system, logistics, production, diplomacy, and naval warfare takes time, but that's exactly what makes every victory feel rewarding. One thing I didn't expect is how much HOI4 helped me in school. It genuinely improved my knowledge of history and geography. I became much more familiar with countries, borders, capitals, historical events, and World War II in general. It made history classes more interesting and even helped me remember geographical locations much more easily. The modding community is also amazing. Mods like Road to 56, Kaiserreich, Millennium Dawn, and many others add thousands of extra hours of content. If you're willing to invest time into learning the mechanics, this game is absolutely worth it. Even after 662 hours, I'm still discovering new strategies and having fun. Highly recommended!
