After 500+ hours, I can honestly say that Heartopia was – and still is – a really enjoyable game for me. When I started playing, I made quite a lot of friends in-game. Sadly, most of them left one after another over time, and now I'm down to just a handful. Still, I enjoy logging in every day, even after all these hours. The latest underwater cleaning event is a good example of what I still like about the game. It's simple, but actually pretty fun when you're doing it together with other players. I hope we get more events that encourage people to play together like this in the future. Sure, we could talk about the gacha system. Personally, though, it doesn't bother me that much. I paid for some Gold and Silver Memberships when I first started playing, and that's basically it. I'm simply not someone who can be tempted into spending money on outfits or similar cosmetic stuff. If something I like is locked behind real money and I don't think it's worth it, then I just won't get it. That's perfectly fine with me. You definitely don't need to own everything to enjoy the game. I also can't really understand all the hate surrounding the use of AI. I've stopped discussing it at this point, though. AI isn't going away, and everyone will have their own opinion about it anyway. After 500+ hours, I'm obviously still here – and I think that says more than anything else I could write in a review. 😄 If you enjoy Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, or other cozy life-sim games: GIVE IT A TRY. ❤️
