I do like playing but the hairstyles that aren't behind a gacha system are ugly. And the ability to have high settings and not have certain designs look blurry is also horrendously bad

Really enjoyed my time with Heartopia. It's cute, colorful and has exactly the kind of chill vibe you'd expect from a cozy game. I love the pacing, the music, the colors and the little quests. Nothing really feels like it's rushing you, so it's very easy to just wander around and enjoy whatever you happen to be doing, best with a co-op buddy! The gacha does feel kinda predatory and is probably my biggest issue with the game, although I haven't spent any money on it, so I can't really speak for the paid experience. There's also quite a bit to do together long term, from fishing, exploring and doing little activities to eventually co-building houses, which is really cute. I don't know if I'll keep playing or how often I'll come back to it, but I got two really cozy hours out of it playing with him, and those two hours were kinda perfect. Maybe we'll come back and build something together someday. 💜

While this game is basically what Infinity Nikki tried to be (and failed), with expanded focus on home design and building, I basically treat it like a multiplayer animal crossing with RPG elements, and it's surprisingly fun. Don't get me wrong. It's a crappy mobile port that looks graphically terrible and uses so much GPU you'd think you were trying to run Cyberpunk 2077 that puts all new development resources into time-limited events and items that are immediately deleted forever once the event ends. But it's *fun*, and technically free. And it does some things that pretty much no other game does.

Great game love the fact that i can be creative, but after months of playing the game became more of a gacha grab than anything and not enough decorative limits to place everything that you would obtain. The grind to get fruits that you need to cook your food is ridiculous and you don't really get a chance to truly enjoy a event because they drop back to back.

Quest lines need ton of work, games very mid.
