Cool game. Most of the time you won't be encountering a lot of other players as the numbers tend to drop after the first couple weeks of a new World these days. It is recommended you join a group, but playing alone is entirely viable as well. There is a great tutorial series on YouTube by Mah-Dry-Bread that I encourage you to check out, if you are new you 10000% need some sort of guide as the game is pretty bad at explaining things sadly. The wiki is a must have as well. Overall a very fun experience, haven't had any bad experiences yet myself playing both in a group as well as solo. Once you get up your first real wall you should be safe unless you actively go out of your way to piss someone off.
ну что я вас скажу ребята, хахач это король в своем жанре.

Not really beginner friendly
It hurts a bit to leave a negative review because I really like a lot of aspects about this game, it's very unique there is nothing else quite like haven and hearth it has very distinct mechanics that really makes it stand out as a game. The crafting is interesting in a way that every recipe and thing you make ties into another recipe or another building, like woodworking and carpentry contributing to the quality of structures, or bee harvesting wax allows you to make hardened leather so you can make a palisade or mine shaft, fermenting wine in order to buff cheese, etc. Every little gain benefits something else and I really think it's the games one of the greatest strength but there are a lot of things that are rather tedious when it comes to crafting and just moving things around, I know it's part of game balance but it get's to the point of extreme tedium without planning out everything you want to craft ahead of time, a general area where all items are accepted in order to craft, like a designated area would greatly diminish the time having to refill and empty your inventory. Organization is another real sore spot for me, there are tools like manually labeling every cabinet for certain items, but even then this is still rather cumbersome and leads to entire buildings just full of random items in just the attempt of organization, it's a feature I understand for that soft realism but I would love something like zones in dwarf fortress and cataclysm for general organization, it could be a spell or just a general building option. Farming is another aspect I feel really split on in this game on one hand it's very relaxing and rewarding to farm you gain a lot of produce and a better way to level certain stats, but after a while especially if your stupid like me and you make a large farm it becomes extremely time consuming to the point where I'll get my character to auto harvest a crop while I do something else it wouldn't be so bad if you never had to constantly keep re-harvesting your crops (even if you don't need to eat it) in order to keep raising the quality of these crops to my understanding from what I have read online a lot of people simply bot their farms which is something I really think highlights how repetitive it can get, something like a spell or anything in general that could automate (at a price), decrease the amount of harvests, or a change in the way the crops level would greatly assist in making farming less of a grind. Mining is very rewarding but by far the most tedious and unfun aspect in the game for me, the strength req alone to just start mining is frustrating considering all of the actually good metals are farther down in levels making cheese making almost mandatory to raise strength to get to lower levels, mining is high in both resource cost to even start with basic metals and a huge time sink in order to accomplish literally anything of value not to mention you can spend hours mining only to get unlucky with a low quality ore deposit. The game constantly feels like playing to your interests is what's intended but in order progress you are forced to spec your character into multiple stats and professions in order to proceed something that is nearly impossible without a village or a significantly determined hermit, this leads to many players having multiple characters with the only aim to save on points (Just another source of tedium), something that made it more interesting for certain playstyles like say a player who wants to only play as a fisherman getting unique benefits and items would make things like trade more interesting and would give hermits a chance to obtain and progress in things they either have no interests in playing or don't have the skills or supplies needed in order to obtain these items. (there could be unique traits to this as well, such as unique qualities or items, a farmer gaining the ability to grow certain crops underground, cooks getting new recipes, etc.) Various items and resources are locked to a certain quality depending on the location such as water, clay (brutal), soil, sea water, and general perm resources. It makes things like scouting resources interesting like IE wanting to settle in a place with high q water, but again it leads to tedium you have to actually construct a well every time you want to test water Q, sure it means you can find a spot that has these excellent qualities but it also means your out of luck if you find a place you want to settle and the water q is 10, it then means you have to wander outside your settlement looking for water or spend an outrageous amount of experience points in order to raise the quality of the water, having it so water could be more easy to trade would not only give more incentive to trade but would make conflict over high q water more interesting. Lastly on this point with perm fixed resources despite them apparently being added in order for people to fight over them I have never seen it, these resource points are not at all rare in the game and they give a pitiful amount of resources for the massive amount of time it takes for them to replenish, and since they are so abundant and take so long to replenish the folks who do want these resources just wait the moment it respawns and they walk over and harvest it. Also forgot to mention these perm resources have random Q as well so you may very well get one border line useless as well. This is getting long so I will shorten up the last points. Combat is fun but death is catastrophically brutal in such a game that is such a grind as this (I have no idea how this would be addressed since it makes the game interesting.) The player counts are abysmal towards the end of a worlds lifespan (about a year) and I think it's due to two things one the sheer amount of grind req to upkeep with other players (esp villages) and two that should they die they loose a huge amount of progress. A lack of moderation tools in general chat that don't involve commands. the main client the game ships with is just straight up bad and does nothing better then community clients (A problem that again gate keeps noobs out of the game.) The lack of just general information on how to play (this isn't a problem for me but pointing this out to new players I think would really help). A lack of just general quality of life features. _________________________________________________ Despite me saying all these things I still really love the game it has such a unique world and art style, the crafting is unique, so many features and little quirks to learn, a huge selection of content, a slow but extremely rewarding feeling progression every little hurtle feels like a huge accomplishment, the constant threat of pvp making everyone you come across a potential friend or foe is again really refreshing, exploring abandoned settlements really sells the game as a dynamic living world. I'm leaving a negative review because I hope that pointing out these frustrations I have with the game will help improve it. PS: Never try to swim in this game you will have a very short but very funny experience.
не имеет смысла играть пока не будут пве или приватные сервера как тут есть обиженные на жизнь ущербные которые руинят желание играть, из-за чего уходят и игра пустеет , збс подход как убить топовую игру .
