Halo: The Master Chief Collection

Playing all of these again and marking them as I go along. In any case, it's a fantastic package. Halo 1: 7/10; took me about 14 hours. Great game, with lots of great moments, but also quite a few annoying levels that have significant stretches of relative boredom. Still, nostalgic and still awesome to this day. The graphical upgrade does a lot, of course.

I will begin by saying I love Halo. I will forgive many aspects of the game others use to eschew the game entirely. Alas, this is pitiful given the legacy 343 has inherited. So, here goes. Campaigns, fine. Easy win, and it should have been. Four Player co-op needs to be available on all campaigns. Multiplayer...clunkiest **** I've ever seen. UI sucks. Buttons feel like they don't work and some are outright redundant (e.g. sending a player a game invite). The Friends mechanic is just awful. 343, what does it mean to "follow another player"? Like on F****** Tik Tok!? So inviting and accepting players into your party is painful, even. Integration with Microsoft gamebar on the PC is TERRIBLE. Another added UI that takes away from the nostalgic feeling we're all after. Consolers I hope it's not so bad for you. The BANNING SYSTEM. How to write this section without explatives? If my PC crashes, or I get randomly "kicked" from a game, rejoining works 1/5 times, and the other 4 times I get banned for abandoning matchmaking. Then the next game, I'll likely run into a cheater (whatever, Arc Raiders has cheaters), but then reporting that player and quitting the game gets me banned for AN EVEN LONGER PERIOD OF TIME. Then I encounter the same player the following evening. Literally Jeffery Epstein. THATS HIS GAMERTAG. LITERALLY. FLYING A F****** MONGOOSE AROUND LIKE GOD ON HIS CHARIOT SPLATTERING HIS ENEMIES. Earning Spartan Points is a drag. Challenges aren't numerous enough to make it worth it really. In general, dame shame. Still, it's the best we got, so at the end of the day, play it. Encourage 343 to fix what it's old player base would like.

A great experience and Halo 4 all bundled into one neat package. Relieve your childhood and play some games that hold very well even today(im relatively new to the IP so i got no nostlagia goggles on). Buy it on sale for like 5-7 bucks and get even more replay value from the workshop items. Mods like Rebalanced for CE and so forth. Why waste your money on a cash grab nostlagia bait like Campaign Devolved when you can play 5 good games and 4 for a dime and a penny.I mean they can't even fix the various bugs in this MCC,why trust them with a new project after all previous failures. Time to let this studio crumble,maybe the one that picks the IP does it justice. Cuz you can be sure 3 43 GUILTY spark studios won't.

I think Halo is a pretty cool guy. Eh kills aleins and doesnt afraid of anything.
