Halo: Campaign Evolved

Makes me feel like 2001 all over again.

As someone who has played halo for years this had me excited! Definitely a new and wonderful experience by far!!

Rough around the edges but a decent reprisal of Halo CE. The bonus missions suck (especially on LASO good LORD), Boarding Action may be the worst Halo level ever made. The game needs some additional polish which is hopefully coming in later patches. The game looks very pretty (once you get the settings right) and mostly stays true to the original's art style which Anniversary utterly failed to do. The guns feel really good (especially the assault rifle). By no means a perfect game but overall pretty good. It has inspired me to return to MCC and enjoy the older games as well. Multiplayer is a painful omission and it would be nice to experience the crisp gunplay and weapon sandbox in a multiplayer setting. Full disclosure I did not get the achievements on Steam. They synced over from the Xbox app after I did them all on Game Pass (real time played is 92 hours).

Buy this only when it is on sales. It is an upgrade from the old game with modern mechanic. But with some stupid issue. 30fps cut scene. Enemy AI is kind of stupid the plasma pistol old heat pain grunt from Master Chief sound like elite more. Other than above, i dont find other specific bad things. It is still a good game if you enjoy the original, but i just dont know if it worth it with this price.
