Love the game, only had 1 crash the entire time I played it the other day. Graphics look great, love the style of the Forerunner structures and the Covenant, I always thought they were too slick in the other Halo's but still good looking and now they feel like a real ancient power structure. The Covenant are great looking and love that they make the game a struggle on higher difficulties, and the skulls are awesome, still my favorite: Grunt Birthday Party. Sprint was a little weird to get used to and I still forget when I play. Never did much of multiplayer in the original game's and can't wait to play this with the boys.
I really like this remake. It is not perfect, but it is really good.
The good: - it looks great - it feels like Halo - quality of life improvements are great and if you don't like them you can turn them off (being able to sprint, having clear waypoints, marked enemies) - additional missions and remix campaign are nice add-ons - being able to play the game natively on PC with mouse and keyboard feels great The middling - I played in german and the voiceacting did not bother me There are noticeable rerecordings and a difference in the new missions but that can't had to be like that, even with the same voice actor's you can't hope to have the same intonation after 25 years - I would have liked to have level points and level times, was always fun to hunt in MCC The bad - there isn't much for me but the menu It is kinda unintuitive to navigate with the different options of normal campaign, koop, laso and remix Also the icons for which level was beaten on which difficulty needs to be added, it sucks to miss a mission for the legendary achievement and not to know which one it is
So all in all I am very happy with this game and hope to see Halo 2 and especially Halo 3 Remake.
i loved the game and i think this is what halos 10th anniversy should have looked like and for those who hate this comment f u and ur weak minded oppions
Its ok, i still prefer the original game as the AI is dumb at times and there are major issues like 1 shotting PPs or potential softlocks just by playing the game at times but i still had a funtime. Solo experience was a little hellish at times from the issues but coop in this game is fun. Looking forward to the speedruns and hopefully fixes that can alter a better experience for new people being introduce to halo if this is their entry :)
This really is a throwback to my childhood. It may not have been the first Halo I ever played but I've still got a lot of memories with this one. The remake brought all that back. Whether playing by myself or with my squad it embodies the original perfectly. A few bugs here and there which is to be expected, framerate drops (as of 20th Aug 2026) do irritate but are easily overlooked when playing with others. Only complaint is a large part of the expectations for this game were the prequel missions with Chief and Johnson. I found them lacking in content that the fan-base were wanting from them to establish in an interactable media format. Overall though, I love this game and look forward to the further Remakes of the series. 7.5/10
It's not perfect, its not polished its not even worth the money but if you just want to remember moments you had with friends and make new memories playing arguably one of the best games in history than yeah its great
Halo: Campaign Evolved adds a fresh layer of polish to an already successful shooter. The voice acting is excellent across the entire cast, the graphics look polished, and the music and sound effects are top-notch. The game also adds three new missions that act as a prequel, set a year before the events of Halo. These missions introduce additional enemies into the mix and were genuinely fun to play. Skulls and Terminals also make a return, which is a nice touch for returning players. However, I can't excuse Microsoft's greed in charging £20 for additional weapon and armour skins, especially when the PvP portion of the game is completely absent. The always-online DRM and requirement to sign in to a Microsoft account are also frustrating for what is primarily a single-player campaign. It's good for a nostalgia trip, but that's about it. Personally, I'd wait for a sale before picking this one up, or at the very least wait for the DLC to be discounted.
disappointing even playing solo it crashes with graphics turned down, i have a 5070 ti. ALSO there is no multiplayer which is really really disappointing. i get MasterChef collection has it but to say your remaking OG halo and not put that in sucks. they added some random bs missions, master chef literally takes a sticky grenade while its lite from a grunt and throws it.... sticky grenade are suppose to attach to whatever they hit so kind of contradict some mechanics/lore. really wish they would've just stuck to OG instead of adding weps from all other games to the original. this game should be 30/40 bucks instead of 50/70. still halo put supper disappointing halo, 343 please give it back to bungie!!!
IT WAS A NICE 10/GOOD
