Grounded

Ein sehr liebevoll und detailreiche gestaltetes Spiel. Ich habe es schon mehrere Male durchgespielt und bin jedes Mal wieder gehyped es nochmal neu zu spielen. Ist sein Geld absolut wert <3

The last good game Obsidian made, pending my eventual playthrough of Grounded 2. I'm so glad microsoft has forced them to keep making this series after it became clear that obsidian no longer employs anyone capable of good writing (See: Outer Worlds, Avowed, etc). It's time for all of us to admit that obsidian can no longer make serious rpgs. Instead they must be forced to churn out goofy action adventure games like this. As far as the actual game is concerned: The plot is that you are shrunk down to the size of a very small insect, and you go on a quest to make yourself big again. The back yard is your new country, and you have to go on an adventure to multiple dangerous parts of it while on your quest. You fight giant bugs, climb tall locations, try not to burn to death in a literal sandbox. It's pretty great. The base building is kind of fun but it starts lagging if you try to get serious with it, so it's clear they didn't put much thought or playtesting into that part of the game. The gameplay loop is Kill bugs in beautiful location -> upgrade weapon -> move to new beautiful location, kill bugs. Pretty good for what it is.
