Mil-sims are awesome cause they impose anti-fun mechanics for realism (which I understand), yet the AI in these games never abide by the rules bestowed upon the player. Mainly the aim sway... I sure do love having my optic sway like a tree in a hurricane after having my gun raised for 3 seconds. "Ok, well I'll keep my gun down until I make contact". Except now enemies hold corners with their guns raised and shoot within 0.3 seconds of detection. I sure am glad they don't have arm sway from holding their guns up indefinitely. What am I supposed to do? Take pot shots from cover and take arm breaks every 5 seconds? Oh I guess it's my fault for trying out the armor that makes you heavier. The armor that doesn't seem to do much of anything by the way. Also night ops still suck ass. When I first played this game years ago, going in at the darkest time possible felt like clubbing seals. You were practically invisible. Then after v1034 or whatever, you'd shoot someone in the dark and have every AI open fire on you. And there's still a "bug" or something present that I haven't seen anyone bring up. For whatever reason if you gain height on a map in any way, the AI's detection range increases dramatically. This is most noticeable when playing at night. Go on compound and run around at the start, you can see the AI are unaware. Run upstairs in any of the buildings and try to peek over the edge. I dare you. Game looks like ♥♥♥♥ too lol. I feel like I'm punished for increasing my FOV to a whopping 110 and now I have to use binoculars if I want to see anything that isn't moving. Joke of a 1.0. The bipod still says (not functional) btw :)
Basically what everyone else said. Steam really needs to do something about people abusing this EA ♥♥♥♥. Call it something else. Drag it out and add, remove, add back, rework components FOREVER, then sell to bigger company once they are burnt out and the vision promised to players NEVER HAPPENS. How many times has this happened now?
I´ve played this game for 130 hours and really enjoyed the game before V1.0. V1.0 feels like a downgrade in many ways except for the graphics and the new Operations room. Also how tf is the current file size 100GB? Thats twice the size it was before and i dont see any groundbreaking improvements wich would require so much space. I just hope they learn from this so i can delete this review and actually enjoy the game again.
The game IS NOT a full release or even close to finished. The game was 10x better before 1.0. The combat feels clunky and unrealistic, The gun customization is seriously lacking, all the guns feel identical with 0 recoil. Gun sounds are also lacking big time. The AI is predictable, overpowered, and all knowing. The game is very hard, not impossible, but very hard. The AI is either blind, deaf, and retarded or aimbotted freaks who prefire you and spray through brick walls. This game used to have a promising look, its gone. FULL RELEASE but half the functions are not working or unavailable and won't be in the game till next year or longer. The campaign has 2 missions, short ones too, the ai is not working right at all, the only new gun they've added in a year is a .22LR pistol that has 0 customization. When did someone ask for a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ .22LR in a milsim, who is using that ♥♥♥♥.
Who would have thought this would be another problematic release in the world of Mil-Sim? Actually, who's idea was to call this a 1.0 version without adding AI Companions? Game only has one "Operations" Mission available at launch (the single-player mode). Absolutely no support for AI Team-Mates too! This is very, very far from a finished product. The narrative so far is really funny, bad acting on the CIA handlers briefing, laughable mission prep. A lone operator doing a "Clean House" Call of Duty ripoff AND ONLY THAT for a campaign "teaser" leaves such a bad taste in the mouth. If you guys want to add narratives to this game, then please stick with something that doesn't sound this silly. Devs got a good game on their hands but they are too busy making it about customizing your tacticool character while they glaze over all the morality behind any type of conflict. It is truly baffling to see a game in the year of our Lord 2026 to depict enemies as just cardboard cutouts of "mid eastern terrorists". If they are going to keep this path then it'll be a game for the same niche public he already was, dudes on teamspeak who don't have time for Arma and somehow are still hooked on the post 9/11 power fantasy shooter games.
"From one of the developers behind the original Rainbow Six® and Ghost Recon® games" 1 he's probly got shuved aside agine like most games do, were there some Cropo scuzbag who want to push somthing the dev dose not this was not ready for 1.0 it makes me sad that the push for only haveing real peps not npcs to back you up was a losss for this game ontop of the slogy gun play/create has gone down hill makes me sad saw alot of potechel in this was looking froword to the good olds days of Rainbow Six® & Ghost Recon®
RON全S通关来这边才知道什么叫吃多了细糠吃不了粗糠。唯一值得称赞的是丰富的改枪系统和社区mod。对不起RON我骂你骂早了
i had hope for this game, but instead of continuing to refine the game in early access, v1036 turned into "v1.0" when the game was clearly not ready for it in "v1.0," movement is still clunky, ai's still turn into the main character, and character customization doesn't feel as intuitive as it should if the game had stayed in early access, it probably wouldn't have deserved a negative review... but it's too late now save your money, buy an actually finished game, don't gamble on a half-baked ground branch
Been playing this game for a while now, over 1,000 hours into it. After the release of 1035 the game has gone down hill. Constant crashes, bad audio, it sounds like you are in an echo chamber even when you are outside (yes I've changed audio settings to no avail). Did I mention the constant crashes. I was hoping with the release of v1.0 things would be fixed but sadly they have not. PC specs. CPU: i7-14700k GPU: Nvidia 4080 super RAM: 64gb I hope they can get this fixed soon. It was such a fun game at one time but not in its current v1.0 release (after the 1035 pre-alpha actually).
-Tried to play the first operation and the following could be a skill issue, but I die in 1-2 shots every time. That's based off audio cues because 99% of the time I get shot from someone off my screen. Also noticed that I have only been shot in the head. Pretty the AI area of aim was visible so they should not be going after my head first. Well that is what the patch notes says. -The added weight and redone door mechanics feel even worse. I constantly hit the door way when simply trying to walk through. -Good luck trying to shoot the handle of the door... weird hit box. -You have to kill and verify the HVT before doing any intel gathering, things are only able to be picked up after you do that. NPC seem to constantly know exactly where you are at. -FEELS LIKE RoN NPC. They are always looking the right way and they have already fired not looking at me. -I would refund but I have played too long. -This game still might be playable at the end of 2026 assuming they put out things like they said they would, but if you read the reviews of this game you wouldn't get your hopes up. -Having to go back to the base every time after a operation. TERRIBLE QOL CHOICE. -Single/Coop Operations launching without AI teammate or the ability to choose if the game is open or closed. *YOU CAN ONLY INVITE FRIENDS. None of my friends want to play this. :( -First mission is kill HVT gather SSE extract, pretty normal mission. 2nd mission, kill this entire outpost/ 2 outposts I haven't cleared it yet and steal a Helicopter. Feels like such a weird jump mission theme and feels out of place to me. Each their own though cause I def would like to steal a helicopter with friends it just doesn't sound tactical shooter to me? -Operator is cheaper and much more put together than this, only good thing about this game is the mods. The level setup is nice too.
