honestly when i noticed this people trying to do what ready or not did i was really dissapointed. i now see ai on untrained and the ai are as good if not better than special forces...i can honestly say i did play this game because of the ai the ai were bad and they tend to get worse as time goes on. now in the mind of the devs they seems to want to make it feel like the ai are a constant threat and intend to make the ai harder bc players have a lot of stuff at there disposal but they forgot that terrorist are not that good...most of them are in large groups bc they are not good. they are smart and realy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clever but they di not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ have special forces level of training. and if some of them do it would be a small amount like a handfull. but to see them act way too fast and think of ik this guy is a bad guy? how the ♥♥♥♥ do they even know if im a threat without looking at me and idenifying me. they just know??? some of their guns like ak-47s are not as accurate as the ai shoot with that gun so im really suprised they are accurate when the gun they are using is not....i feel and know that the tactical shooter like the ai being really good because of really good players but let them enjoy being that good instead of forcing us to use tactics we would not have to use if our enemies are bad at combat to begin with. it just breaks the realism. also i understand something changed in the aiming system but do not know what, since that change i have had a hard time hitting targets and even when i do it has a 50% or so chance the ai actually die from the bullet. i starting to reconsider this game in its future. however there are alot of good things about it but with these smalls thing like not being able to aim when my mouse button fails and testing my mouse to see if it is my mouse...it was not. things like stutters, crashing etc. but the encumberace system is good. the aiming was better. the running and shooting part and adding weapon sway is good. but i honestly would not play this game anymore. i really enjoyed the ai not reacting faster then the majority on the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ planet....stutters and crashes with my pc is insane but i do think they will fix it at somepoint....i hope.
When is 2.0? Played a good bit in early access and now play operator because its better.
this game is dead in the water, barebones they dont update it and the AI are terrible maps are linear and theres like 6 of them, Dont buy this Garbage.
I cannot recommend this 1.0. I've been playing every now and then for multiple years. Coop works well. I haven't tried PVP. This is a loooong EA then out of the blue they decided to publish 1.0. What is broken: Armor system doesn't seem fully functional and is not intuitive (have to add plates to your carrier in equipment selection, game doesn't tell you). Feels like I die just as fast with or without. "campaign" is 2 missions, they promise more to come. Sound glitches in and out. Cannot fully rely on it for directions. AI behavior - Oh a big one. 2 examples - Enemies randomly throwing frag grenades at closed/locked doors in my direction (door being in between us). I open a door right in an enemy's face and he looks away. Breaching charges sound like you're hitting a wall with a wet towel. Very underwhelming. No friendly AI / squad play. In the equipment menu, there's a "special equipment" that is still locked. It has been like this for months (if not years). Description only says it may be used in a later update. For the good: Weapon customization is def one of the best I'Ve seen in milsim/FPS. NVGs + IR systems work well. Graphics are good and models are very detailed. Gunplay feels as it should. Overall, as an Early Access the game showed promise and I didn't mind the fairly slow development. However, to release the 1.0 in this rough shape is not going to help. It's a beta at best. I do enjoy playing but I recognize it is not complete and still needs work. Unfortunately, another cautionary tale on why you shouldn't buy early access games.
Mil-sims are awesome cause they impose anti-fun mechanics for realism (which I understand), yet the AI in these games never abide by the rules bestowed upon the player. Mainly the aim sway... I sure do love having my optic sway like a tree in a hurricane after having my gun raised for 3 seconds. "Ok, well I'll keep my gun down until I make contact". Except now enemies hold corners with their guns raised and shoot within 0.3 seconds of detection. I sure am glad they don't have arm sway from holding their guns up indefinitely. What am I supposed to do? Take pot shots from cover and take arm breaks every 5 seconds? Oh I guess it's my fault for trying out the armor that makes you heavier. The armor that doesn't seem to do much of anything by the way. Also night ops still suck ass. When I first played this game years ago, going in at the darkest time possible felt like clubbing seals. You were practically invisible. Then after v1034 or whatever, you'd shoot someone in the dark and have every AI open fire on you. And there's still a "bug" or something present that I haven't seen anyone bring up. For whatever reason if you gain height on a map in any way, the AI's detection range increases dramatically. This is most noticeable when playing at night. Go on compound and run around at the start, you can see the AI are unaware. Run upstairs in any of the buildings and try to peek over the edge. I dare you. Game looks like ♥♥♥♥ too lol. I feel like I'm punished for increasing my FOV to a whopping 110 and now I have to use binoculars if I want to see anything that isn't moving. Joke of a 1.0. The bipod still says (not functional) btw :)
Who would have thought this would be another problematic release in the world of Mil-Sim? Actually, who's idea was to call this a 1.0 version without adding AI Companions? Game only has one "Operations" Mission available at launch (the single-player mode). Absolutely no support for AI Team-Mates too! This is very, very far from a finished product. The narrative so far is really funny, bad acting on the CIA handlers briefing, laughable mission prep. A lone operator doing a "Clean House" Call of Duty ripoff AND ONLY THAT for a campaign "teaser" leaves such a bad taste in the mouth. If you guys want to add narratives to this game, then please stick with something that doesn't sound this silly. Devs got a good game on their hands but they are too busy making it about customizing your tacticool character while they glaze over all the morality behind any type of conflict. It is truly baffling to see a game in the year of our Lord 2026 to depict enemies as just cardboard cutouts of "mid eastern terrorists". If they are going to keep this path then it'll be a game for the same niche public he already was, dudes on teamspeak who don't have time for Arma and somehow are still hooked on the post 9/11 power fantasy shooter games.
This game seems to get worse every time that they update it. it has been fun but claiming its current status is 1.0 is just a lie. The special equipment element still doesn't work but rather then just removing the UI element its still in with a "in development", The ai seem to have turned into total aim bots that track you through solid walls, bi pods are still non functional, this game is not finished and I have no idea why the devs claim this is good enough to be a 1.0 release.
Basically what everyone else said. Steam really needs to do something about people abusing this EA ♥♥♥♥. Call it something else. Drag it out and add, remove, add back, rework components FOREVER, then sell to bigger company once they are burnt out and the vision promised to players NEVER HAPPENS. How many times has this happened now?
I´ve played this game for 130 hours and really enjoyed the game before V1.0. V1.0 feels like a downgrade in many ways except for the graphics and the new Operations room. Also how tf is the current file size 100GB? Thats twice the size it was before and i dont see any groundbreaking improvements wich would require so much space. I just hope they learn from this so i can delete this review and actually enjoy the game again.
