greedy maze is a simple but fun collection of 150 levels, 30 in each type, unlocked one by one. there's braid, perfect, spiral, segment and weave, and for every level you can enable moving walls (as neat as it is annoying), darkness (the maze slowly fades out but comes back every 15 seconds) and an enemy. imagine being chased by something in a dark maze with moving walls. well, now you don't have to, you can experience it! controls are wasd, arrow keys or gamepad, no mouse, but I think it could've also worked. and the mouse does work in the menus and the cursor comes up while playing if you move the mouse, which would be annoying everywhere else, but it's handy here for planning ahead (or backwards). movement needs some getting used to, as pressing any direction will move the - let's be honest - sperm-looking thing to the next intersection, not just one tile. it actually saves time, but it's also disorienting at first. you can switch directions any time though. and the 'tail' catches up when you stop, might be hard to remember where you've already been, not sure if it's a commonality in games like this. as always, I would've liked a timer toggle, even if it's not counting down, but separate volume settings and 12 themes are available, also while playing. no windowed mode, alt+enter only produces an unresizable window. there's no restart level button either, which is a bit weird, but you can go back and forth as you please anyway. I don't play these kinda games and didn't finish this one either, but it's nicely done, plenty of levels and modifiers, both cosmetic and gameplay-altering, should provide several hours of fun. the music's very repetitive though.
Very nice maze game with a lot of challenging levels
Very nice
A nice maze game with many difficult levels and really interesting game modes. Dark mode is really well done
Controls are a little slow. There are a few moments of lag between input and the screen. If it had tighter controls it'd be great.
Chill game, makes you really use your brain in the higher levels, also dark mode is well done.
