as someone who loves both lethal company and repo and has seen their fair share of awful clones of those games, i believe this is one of the few games in this genre that is genuinely worth playing and differentiates itself enough from the others, and i think it's good enough on its own that it's not fair to compare it to repo or lethal.
one of my favorite aspects of this game compared to the others is that progression doesn't stop when you die, which gives you more incentive to actually keep playing and finish the game, and removes a lot of the frustration from losing a good run. it's a lot less stressful in that sense and the basebuilding is very nice, a basebuilding mechanic is the one thing i really wish repo or lethal had.
another thing worth mentioning is that the money you get in this game is actually tangible, you physically pick it up and it makes satisfying plink sounds as well as the scraps you get from breaking stuff and it's one of those little things that i think really adds to the experience
for the negatives - i think the enemy variety is a bit lacking, the levels themselves could use more variety within them, the hitboxes are pretty awful and it's needlessly difficult to hit certain kinds of monsters, mainly the flying ones but also when monsters are stunned on the ground. the object physics are a bit frustrating sometimes and this game also at times suffers from the same thing every single game in this genre does where monsters seemingly love to just pace back and forth in the exact same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ room you need to go to for 20 minutes straight and literally just will not ever ♥♥♥♥ off. the game doesnt seem to be as optimized as it looks like it should be.
and not a negative but i don't think this game has nearly as much of an emphasis on horror as the other 2 games
overall - i really like and recommend this game despite its flaws and think it's one of the few lethal clones worth playing, and if you were on the fence about it due to the oversaturation of this genre i would genuinely recommend giving this one a try, as i think it's unique and good enough on its own to be worth playing, though i do wish it had more content in general across the board.
