Glider Sim Lite – Soaring Simulator

I understand that the game may have been made for learning purposes, but I still can’t call it a quality or playable game.

The graphics are dated, and I wasnt first impressed of it. But I feelt I ought to try it since a distant relative of mine died in accident with one of these. Personally I never feelt a rush to try something like this out in real life since life is to short and there is no protection if failure arise as my relative experienced. Anyhow. When you first choose the hangglider and it zooms into first person and you hear the wind, it actually feels real, then you run out over the cliff and clide and the wind soars. it feels quite real regardless of graphics since the sound of the wind and the altitude in VR gives a thrill. It´s not something I will get back to but it was interesting to try. If the maps where bigger or you can choose locations like Sweden where I live I would think of getting it.

a very relaxing game. vr is great and visually stunning using google maps. You can fly around knowns areas and see locations from a different point of view. my son and i both put hours into this straight away.

I have not played a lot of Glider sims but this one is addicting . its user friendly and really does give the sensation of truly flying with the birds

the terrain just doesnt look good enough to enjoy this game.

За саму идею полетать по любой местности планеты, отредактировав гугл карты в 3д, огромный респект. Превращение 2д в 3д, конечно, не идеально, но с высоты полёта не до мелких деталей, пойдёт. На моём железе при полёте наблюдаются почти постоянные микрофризы, что в режиме гугл карт, что на картах от разработчиков. Если вы новичок в ВР играх, лучше держать рядом тазик, зачем, поймёте минут через 20 ;) Насчёт фризов, не буду утверждать, что у игры плохая оптимизация, так как играю не на боярском ПК, а на электросковородке для жарки вафель от Lenovo. Производитель заявляет, что это ноутбук, но, судя по температуре под нагрузкой, я вполне бы мог наливать внутрь тесто, закрыть крышку и пожарить вкусняшку. В общем смотрите мои характеристики, чтоб оценить, надо ли тратить время на скачивание.
