GlassSmash is a simple Unity mobile app tier physics game that almost certainly looks like it was copied from a template, if not just a direct asset flip. It's from the shady Russian developers at Anvate Games and has been dumped on Steam as a cash grab. It's a simple game with no graphics or control options, locked resolution, and simple assets. Spin the hammer around using "A" and "D", and hit space to let it fly and try to hit glass jars around the level, that's all there is to it. More dumbed down than Angry Birds, too simple even for a mobile app, so why is this on Steam? Russian cash grab, that's why.
Warning: Review Manipulation!
This game features a number of fake positive reviews from accounts known to be in the business of review manipulation/paid reviews. They're all written in either Russian or broken English, appear almost immediately after the game launched on Steam, all have a direct Steam purchase of the game, and the accounts are used consistently to write fake reviews for asset flips and other cash grabs/scams. The "Positive" review score on this game should be disregarded due to this review manipulation.
Developer Response!
The developer has weighed in to inform everyone they didn't read the Developer Usage Rules for Steam "partners", or they deliberately ignored the part where Valve says:
Though it may be tempting, not every review needs to be responded to. A developer response will frequently draw more attention than the original statement, potentially turning a small issue into a much larger community discussion. It's also not a good idea to use this feature to refute customer opinions. Your direct attention can be seen as validation or a defensive attempt to silence your customers.
The developer insists they aren't Russian, but they paid review site they bought their reviews from sure is. And a lot of people like to talk to them in Russia. Maybe they're Belarusian or Chechen or something. Let's refine this to "that part of the world where asset flips and review manipulators come from". Fake reviewers like Psyco, Parazit and Canada, for example, all with exactly the same clumsy grasp of English and with around 50% of their reviews in Russian. The point is, if it looks like a утка, it quacks like a утка, and it swims around the pond like a утка, we don't need to delve too deeply into requiring greater evidence.
I love the sound of breaking glass...
For a buck or so, if you like very simple physics games, you should definitely try this.
Joguinho muito perfeito, adorei.
STRESS RELIEF GAME
Pay a buck to test your reflexes / strategize how best to hammer-smash a ton of glass. Oddly relaxing. Took me 4.5 hours to beat 48 levels and get 100% achievements, which is frankly more content than I was expecting.
Kind of and easy achievement grind game, doesn't take long. Even less than it took for me, because at least half of the time I afked)
