Jesus Christ I only started 4 months ago and I have 522 hours? ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 0-2, I swear to God. So anyway, I picked this up to run through the story and....yeah I'm actually having fun playing it. If you've got the patience for daily login, and I have to say dailies these days are done in a minute, this is a pretty good war to fight. The devs have done a LOT to smooth off all the rough edges now that there's no need to keep the playerbase spinning their wheels, so you can just focus on building a bunch of terrible meme echelons and kitting them out before diving properly into the campaign. Do search out a list of which order you should play missions, if you care about the story, because you'll quickly get confused otherwise. Also don't neglect Sangvis capture when you unlock it, because night missions are ass and they're good at it. And yes, you did just skip a load of early story and get all the loot in one go. Go into settings, set "Story playback" to repeat, play them as normal (but now you have a stack of resources so you're not getting choked out at the beginning.)

Single best gacha i've ever played. Incredibly F2P friendly
Played Hundreds of hours over the years on mobile, just found out it's on steam now so I can more easily play on PC. (I got too passionate, so setting summary TL;DR) [**Post WW3 "Nuclear" apocalypse Eastern Europe/Russia where PMCs use combat androids to operate in irradiated zones where humans cannot. Lots of depth.**] I have no idea how beginner friendly it is now if anyone wished to start, but the story and world building is fantastic, not just for a mobile game, but games in general. It will always have a place in my heart/Memory. The base setting is a sort of Post WW3 apocalypse style Neo Soviet Union where most of the world beyond Europe and the Antarctic has become uninhabitable due to a catastrophic radioactive disaster. You are a PMC operating around the area of Russia and Ukraine with direct references to locations such as Moscow, Kiev and Belgrade etc. (The gfl timeline diverged from IRL before even the first world war so the political situation is entirely different from IRL events if that is a "concern") As part of this PMC you (The Commander) deploy Tactical-Dolls, essentially combat androids to go in and take part in missions in locations too irradiated for humans to safely operate in. At first you primarily fight against Androids from a company where they all suddenly went rogue, but over time the scale of the story and the stakes become far more involved and detailed, with military organisations involved, political intrigue, religious ideology and more, and it is all sufficiently fleshed out to make the world feel so detailed and have so much depth to it. One of the major events has you essentially as security detail to a political party figure trying to attend a political summit against a radical opposition force, and it ends up being really interesting and compelling. The game is also not afraid to get Serious/Dark. It never feels edgy for the sake of edgy or just bad shock value, it all feels appropriately fitting for the tone of the setting and it feels as though events in the story actually have stakes. While there may be plenty of light-hearted side stories and events, the main story does not pull it's punches and can be genuinely depressing at times, but done in such a way that is incredibly compelling and well written, And oh boy is there a lot of writing especially once the introductory chapters are done and you get into the meat of the game. It has novels worth of writing/dialogue but all feels engaging, in the main story events there never feels like there is filler or padding for time so to speak The story, setting, theme, worldbuilding, history, lore etc. It all stands together to make something amazing, and it will forever remain one of my favourite and most well regarded Stories/worlds in Media.
