Continuing the legacy of the Girls' Frontline world, this all-new adventure casts you as the Commander, challenging you to lead your squad of Tactical Dolls deep into perilous contamination zones and overcome enemies with tactical prowess.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. The player count below is how many people own it, not what they spent.

About
The end of an era, the dawn of another; the fall of a faction, the rise of another... The torchbearers shall shine upon the brave new world.
After severing ties with G&K, the Commander bid farewell to the past and chose to venture into the contamination zones. During their journey, the Commander encountered more and more individuals and Tactical Dolls. Each with their own unique stories, they became indispensable members of the Commander's team. The Commander, who only sought to complete bounty missions smoothly and earn a stable income, was unexpectedly ambushed during what appeared to be a routine transport mission. Far from the bustling vortex, it became clear that the Commander had been drawn into an even larger maelstrom...

good game one thing to note though is that the sexual imagery of the characters is sometimes very very noticeable but its a gacha game.

I GOT THE BIG BOOBIE YELLOW HAIR CHARACTER 10/10 GAME
I'm gonna be upfront and honest: I'm not too big on tactical RPGs set up like a chessboard. Bearing that in mind, I was hesitant to give GFL2 a try. After putting more hours in, I'm still uncertain if this genre is my cup of tea, but it feels good. In fact, my only criticism is that early stages feel remarkably easy, compounded by the fact that you can place high-leveled support units from other players. Gameplay progressively begins to feel like it is somewhat in the sweet center of casual and challenging. Better yet, it doesn't have terrible meta and balancing issues, nor does it lock essential units and gear behind the gacha pool. Big ups for that. Then comes supplemental content. I'm hot off of Snowbreak: Containment, which always felt like an undercooked mess even at it's best. Everything in GFL2, in comparison, feels so much more focused and polished. I adore the base activities and character interactions. Cooking minigame is at times...confusing. But there are guides on successful combos. Base building and minigames are not deep and complex, but it does feel nice to customize your subordinates living quarters and engage in small talk with them. Speaking of the girls, the game obviously leans into sex appeal here-and-there, and there have been a few times I audibly laughed at the absurdity of some of it (Helen's Soirée scene, HOLY). However, something about how it is all handled feels...elegant? Can't quite put my finger on it, but the personalities of the Commander, Dolls, and and how they all interact with one-another feels very charming, sometimes tongue-in-cheek. I wouldn't feel the need to emphasize this all so much if it weren't for the fact that it's done so well, and doesn't fall into the trap of being a lame harem sim that doubles as a glorified model viewer. Again, I refer to Snowbreak. I have noticed a what I believe are few AI placeholders (I think). It's hard to tell nowadays, the rancid algos have started scraping crude concept art, simple backgrounds and templates for their prompts. If the assets are generated, I hope at some point they get replaced with actual art that somebody diligently made. Needless to say, I'm still not big on TRPGs, and especially not harem sims. That said, Exilium has left a VERY good impression on me and I'll definitely keep coming back to it. If you're looking for a good gacha that isn't shaking you down for all you're worth, full of cringe dialogue and archetypes, or suffers from poor balancing issues, GFL2 is certainly an excellent contender.
