About
Uncover ghosts in this thrilling clicker game. In "Thousand Souls" mode, race against time to collect as many souls as possible with just 1000 clicks. For a limitless challenge, try the endless "Fallen Souls" mode and catch souls without stopping.
1st ghost: 1+(rounding(number of clicks * 100 - (elapsed time in seconds * 50) + number of clicks))
2nd ghost: 1+(rounding(number of clicks * 100 - (elapsed time in seconds * 150) + number of clicks))
3th ghost: 1+(rounding(number of clicks * 100 - (elapsed time in seconds * 250) + number of clicks))
4th ghost: 1+(rounding(number of clicks * 00 - (elapsed time in seconds * 350) + number of clicks))
This means that each higher spirit has a greater penalty for elapsed time.
For every click on the ghost, you catch one soul. A bonus icon appears at random times and you have 3 seconds to click on it
The activated time bonus randomly lasts 10-30 seconds
Bonus souls are calculated according to the formula random(1000 to 100000) + (number of captured souls / 1000)

*Ghost Clicker* is a clicker game that sets itself apart by mixing quick reflexes and soul-collecting in two distinct game modes: "Thousand Souls" and "Fallen Souls." The game’s concept revolves around clicking as fast as you can to collect souls, but it quickly falters due to some core design issues. In "Thousand Souls," players must click 1000 times as quickly as possible, with each ghost appearing to give you more of a penalty for taking longer, which adds a bit of challenge. However, the game’s design feels very basic and repetitive, as you’re just clicking until you hit the target. The mechanics lack depth, and although the penalty system based on time can push for faster clicks, it still doesn't add much beyond the initial premise. There is a heavy focus on getting through the clicks without much engagement besides simply clicking as fast as you can. "Fallen Souls" mode, on the other hand, is an endless mode where you continue to click to collect souls, with a random bonus icon appearing occasionally. While it’s intended to offer a continuous challenge, the thrill quickly wears off as it becomes just another mode to click without much variety. The game suffers from technical issues and lackluster design choices. Many players complain about the annoying and repetitive sound effects, including loud screaming sounds that don't add to the atmosphere, and the absence of a mute button for sounds or music is a significant oversight. There are also complaints about the flashing ghosts, which could potentially cause issues for players with sensitivity to flashing lights or those prone to seizures. Moreover, the game doesn’t offer much else beyond the simple act of clicking, and there’s very little in terms of meaningful progression or interaction. The random drops and bonus souls are too disconnected to create any real sense of satisfaction. The lack of clear gameplay progression or interesting features leaves the experience feeling hollow. In terms of presentation, *Ghost Clicker* doesn’t stand out. The visuals are basic, and while AI-generated content is mentioned for the graphics, it doesn't elevate the experience much. The lack of any clear progression or customization options leaves it feeling like a missed opportunity. Overall, *Ghost Clicker* is a game that promises a clicker experience with a spooky twist, but ultimately fails to deliver anything engaging or fresh. The repetitive nature, lack of meaningful features, technical flaws, and lack of options for personalization or sound control make it a frustrating and disappointing experience. With many better clicker games out there, *Ghost Clicker* doesn’t seem to offer enough to keep players coming back. If you're looking for a fun and rewarding clicker game, there are certainly better options out there.
Warning: AI Slop This game is partially or completely made with talentless, soulless AI generated content.
Ghost Clicker is a brainless clicker/incrementer... you know the type, click on stuff to make numbers go up so you can buy stuff to help you click on stuff to make numbers go up so you can buy stuff to... you get the idea. The brainless gameplay is, unsusprisingly, accompanied with an equally low quality technical implementation and poor presentation, resulting in yet another horribly low quality shovelware game that might as well have been done in a web browser. As mentioned, this features really godawful, "wrong" looking AI slop instead of genuinely and sincerely created game assets. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating real game assets or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks bad because of that decision. AI slop sticks out like a sore thumb... and it comes across as insulting. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too, and that's glaringly obvious here. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $2 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. It's also a bit of a slap in the face to anyone who paid money for this... nobody got refunded. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 5 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
