Geometry Survivor

If you like Geometry Wars series - this is a must - pure addiction.

Cheap shovelware shunted out to capitalize on the survivor-like craze in 2024. Little content and no post-release support or updates.

Lots of fun, I do wish there was a 'how long can you last' play mode, but I guess the game is not procedurally generated to allow this.

For the standards of a Survivors-like it doesn't have much content for the price. There's only one map, and not a whole lot of unlocks that seem worth getting. The ships seem pretty similar (I only tried the default), and too many credits are required to unlock stuff/ships given how repetitive it is to grind credits. The most interesting content (Evolutions/Mutations) are tucked into the endgame well after I was getting sick of grinding and wanted to stop playing. There are a relatively small number of weapons to choose from, and many are unbalanced. On the upside, the synthwave soundtrack is kinda catchy.

Not too much content, but what's there is fun when you have just a few minutes to play.

Honestly wish they did more with this. Normally it's easy to recommend these kinds of games because they're so cheap but this game probably isn't worth 5 dollars. Shame that the series that inspired Vampire Survivor's would make an adaptation that's hardly worth mentioning.

Plays great on my M3 macbook with crossover. Decent little game for the right price. Wish there were more interesting upgrades and achievements to go for, all the achievements in this game are time based so pretty easy to get if you're decent at dodging geometric shapes.
