Played the game for 4 hours (including 1 hour on live stream). Here are my thoughts. The game is simple in design, straight-forward and delivers what it says it is. Minimalistic gameplay, retro graphics and a chiptune style soundtrack. The game handles similar to the classic Arkanoid, but with the difference of bouncing off of moving targets and fighting the large boss bulwarks. Gameplay is smooth and the varioius powerups can be fun to mess with in all the possible combinations. I had problems with the controller support despite it being labelled "full controller support" but keyboard/mouse was easy enough to figure out. Also too, because it is a small game there isn't much room for expansion and you will quickly obtain all the scoring upgrades. The stage number seems to suggest that there might have been plans to add more (since it counts from 1-1 to 1-9) but maybe this was just a convention used by the developer. The price of $2.99 for what you get is about what I'd expect to pay. You could probably rack up 10-20 hours in small sessions as a time-killer between tasks or when you need a breather from more intense games. I have a video up on Youtube with gameplay and my thoughts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGR3NgP1pa8

This game goes hard.
Galactic Bulwark Strike is a free 2D retro/minimalist/neon hybrid of Galaga and Breakout/Pong, where you control a paddle that also shoots, so you need to play Pong with the ball at the same time you shoot various ships flying around trying to get you. It's a novel concept for a game, but the implementation lets it down. The game was made with the awful Godot game construction kit. Using a low quality construction kit invariably results in low quality games, as Galactic Bulwark Strike demonstrates. Resolution is locked and there's an ugly screen filter that can't be turned off. That, and the obsolete 2D minimalist/neon/pixel "art" graphics propel this beneath minimum recommendable quality for a PC game. The developer has made this game completely free. Nothing shows greater dedication to the gaming industry, and belief in their own product than when a developer wants to share it without any remuneration. Unfortunately while the quality here is just too low to recommend, I'm hopeful the developer gained employment in the industry and can put their talent towards genuine games that weren't made filling out templates in construction kits.
Arkanoid and space invaders have been combined before. This one's quite good! Albeit, short.
good game
Muito bom
Cool one, I will probably look for more "Arkanoid" ones after this one. P.S.There is a mistake in description of trophy (either in game or steam) - You have to have exactly 3 hearts and 3 shields, 4 shields will not do.
Not alot of content, but certainly worth the price! loving it!
