Furries & Scalies & Scarecrows OH MY!

A very interesting story about the farmers of a magical island stuggling with the ambitious influences of a king. Fans of Shakespeare will likely recognize certain references to a play that he may have co-written. The character design art looks really high quality to me, and their facial expressions change with their moods, making the dialogue feel quite engaging. The game's background art has a rather soft, glowing, and soothing feel, and looks kind of like line-less art, like a painting, at least it looks so on my computer monitor. The art looks really appropriate for the rustic settings. The background art in the pictures on the store page is actually the main reason I purchased the game, and why I played the game ahead of many other games. Although the dialogue among the characters is relatively calm in tone, the content of the dialogue is quite interesting and gripping, and I found myself getting very invested with the perspectives and reactions expressed by the characters. I felt the responses I chose for my main character mattered, and I could sense that my chosen responses effected the other characters toward my main character, and effected how certain characters reacted to other characters they conversed with. I chose my main character as a male, and his image in the dialogue box looks like the outline of an anthro lion with horns, bat wings, and a scorpion tail. He kind of looks like an anthro version of a manticore from MLP:FiM. I felt this game has a less prominent "dating" tone than the "...Cat Girls" games by the same developer, but I did feel compelled to have my manticore guy focus on Lynne. Don't really feel any of the other gals are "date-able", but that's just me. XD

Despite featuring some lovely furry characters, there just isn't to celebrate about this game. NPC interaction felt very on-rails, the farming system is both nonsensical and inconsequential, the plot feels a lot loftier than it needs to be, and (at the time I played it) the writing was *littered* with typos. It's just kinda bad all the way through.
