Sometimes less is more. In this case more more and more is too much! This was terrible. Why is my character green? What am I supposed to do? Where am I supposed to go? What is going on?
Feels less like early access and more like early alpha testing. Edit: It's been an entire year and it's still crashing after around 10-15 minutes and still has "AI" voices, which is against Steam's policy to not disclose. Edit2: Also I closed Firefox because ublock eats up a lot of memory and it lasted ~30-60 before crashing, confirming that it's a memory issue.

Feels like a pre-pre-pre alpha game. Janky mess of Unreal store assets stitched together.
"Freeland" is yet another garbage attempt to make a "VR Metaverse", this time coached in the format of an MMORPG (but it barely is)... and it's abandoned of course, with zero players. Yeah, this is basically a ripoff of Second Life, but from Temu. It's awful. What do you do in the game? You wave your arms around in an MMORPG theme park while the developer tries to get you to spend money in the disgusting cash shop. The developers abandoned this months ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. Despite not being able to finish the game, the developers apparently had all the time in the world to build a working cash shop microtransaction system and financial transaction back end into the game. That shows the developers primary goal was just to set out to gouge cash from Steam gamers just like mobile devs do with mobile peasants. The graphics aren't great... that will understandably be a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. It's VR exclusive, and that shows the developer failed to understand the most basic axiom of VR game design... if the only cool thing about your product is VR support, your product is not cool. You're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality product, this comes across more as a delusion of grandeur than anything else. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. I had my cat walk over the keyboard while the EULA was displaying, which fixed that problem for me. On pricing and value for gamers, this isn't really free as the game is infested with mobile app store like microtransactions. This is a consumer hostile model that we don't need to see on PC. It's deceptively priced to gouge gamers, and that's a reason in itself to avoid this. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at less than 100 concurrent players, they couldn't even break three figures, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. It's important to note that, despite this being such a low quality product, there's a number of positive reviews that all appeared immediately after the game launched, from suspiciously inactive Steam accounts that have reviewed almost no other games apart from this. Take the review score of this game with a grain of salt. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
Horrible. You get bored after 5 minutes. Graphics are from the past. AI is stupid. Bots keep re-spawning after killing them.
feels like an asset flip scam, idk if it is though, just gives off weird vibes, 0 fun
This is just not fun. I remember being spammed through emails for this game about how their early access keys were selling out fast and to hurry and get one. It is dead and buggy.
A janky mess that misses the mark on the fundamentals.

the hud and menus are really ugly, bad walking speed, character customization was pretty bad (it was so bad i just decided to press random cause its really bad) and shop pops ups every time i open the menu. game needs a insane makeover
