Free Bowling 3D

I'm going to go ahead and say "No" based on the fact that I would only recommend this if you're fairly bored and have a coupon for it. I definitely got my 10 cents out of it, but I'm not so sure it's worth much mroe than that. The game is basic, more so than the description lets on. You throw a ball. It moves in a straight line and hits pins. The goal of the game (solely judging by the achievements) is to knock 2000 pins over, get some strikes, and press the space bar key 101 times, despite the fact that it does nothing. It didn't take me much time to achieve this and I wasn't left with much of a feeling of accomplishment. Just emptiness. You're also playing in a multi-lane bowling alley that's completely deserted other than yourself. There is cheering when you score a strike, but I'm certainly positive that if your character could wander, you'd find that it's coming from an automated stereo system. The sheer emptiness of it gives the feeling of a millionaire playing alone on his private bowling alley in his mansion somewhere, which just added to the empty lonely feeling left by the lack of achievement from the achievements...

"Free" for 99 cents set off some red flags immediately. No freedom of movement or physics either, so it can't be talking about that. I knew this would be bad going in, but having spent plenty of time bowling I had hoped for a few things. The ability to put a spin on the ball, and the ability to change both throwing force and angle. I had hoped the pin physics would be sound and they would knock each other in the right way. The game had none of those things. Got a coupon so it was 25 cents... Overpriced in my opinion. I can't recommend it and feel good about it. I usually try to give games the benefit of the doubt, but this one was too bad to doubt. It looked like a B- grade highschool project that some kid decided to put up on Steam for beer money. I can't bash it too hard, because they got a good 25 cents from me. But if they actually wanted to develop games they could have done so much better and I'm sure they know it.
