Food Drive: Race against Hunger

Este es un juego simple pero bastante entretenido, básicamente vas conduciendo por la ciudad recogiendo comida y entregándola contra el reloj, muy al estilo Crazy Taxi. Lo que más me gustó es que no solo es divertido, también tiene ese enfoque de concienciar sobre el hambre y organizaciones reales, lo cual se siente diferente; el gameplay es rápido, medio caótico a veces por los controles, pero eso también le da su gracia. No es un juego profundo ni para largas sesiones, pero para pasar el rato funciona muy bien, y más siendo gratis.

[h1] A wholesome, free & so very needed revisit to the late 1990s & early 2000s gaming! [/h1] This game is such a love letter to millennials, late 1990s & early 2000s gamers like myself. It brings me back nostalgia of more simple times I've missed so much. That early 2000s era when games felt all for simple unapologetic innocent fun without as much focus on toxic competition over game rankings nor real world drama. This reminds me of one of those great wholesome old games like Big Fish games such as Diner Dash & Cake Mania. The moment I heard this "Foood Driiive" on the intro to the game's main screen music, I felt exactly like [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5m7SGjJo7c4] that one scene from Ratatouille. [/url] I'd describe this game as a marriage of Diner Dash & Crazy Taxi which is another great classic hit from that amazing era. What's even crazier is this game is [b] totally free [/b] meaning no microtransactions & none of the nasty practices that tend to plague free games nowadays. As if that wasn't wholesome enough already, I found out this indie developer are such dears & dedicate their free nonprofit games to raising awareness towards charities. The shop interface where you buy/unlock new trucks within this game also includes information about a different charity organization per truck as shown [url=https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3696992332] here. [/url] They also have a whole section in game showing different charity organizations if you're too lazy to unlock different trucks. [b] Many developers could learn from this wonderful example Food Drive's developers prove to be. [/b] There seems to be a total of 3 levels and they have in game ranking leaderboards per level as shown in [url=https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3697004331] this example. [/url] [b] The only things I dislike about this game so far are: [/b] - The fact the mouse/cursor pointer doesn't change looks to say a crosshair nor does it automatically disappear when you start a mission which I find a little distracting personally. - This wobbly or blurry feeling of the camera while moving with the truck that makes me feel a bit dizzy or motion sick. - The lack of more in game options/settings to disable or alter some graphic settings at least like a colorblind mode & an option to reduce the blur would be an amazing addition, IMO. - The fact this gem doesn't have more missions is just totally outrageous! Ok, this one is totally a nitpick but I'd love to see more missions for sure! Overall, the downsides I find within the game are just me somewhat nitpicking at this point so.. [h2] This game is still sweet, wholesome & fun specially as a totally free game which easily gets it a very hearty recommendation from me. [/h2]
