You are an infinitely jumping cube, that doesn't mean that the challenges in front of you become any easier however, sometimes it is hard to stop yourself and sometimes you go too far, but can you make it just like you were before, in one piece?

"Floating Cuboid" is a badly made, phoned in 2D retro pixel platformer, one of literally thousands of these on Steam, and this is one of the worst ones. The developer boasts they couldn't be bothered investing the required amount of time it takes to make a game properly and bashed this out in less than a month, and it shows. It's a weird flex to tell people you did the job badly on purpose... and this does absolutely nothing to benefit gamers. It just makes indie devs look worse. There's basic platforming here and it's hard to say if the game is difficult because it's meant to be or because the devs were just lazy. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 3 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.

having infinite mid-air jumps makes for a fun premise plays a bit like flappy bird and a traditional platformer, has a bit of an horror twist to it but frankly it was pretty mild in that aspect and those elements didn't really hook me in its built slightly like a rage game, has a death counter that you might expect to go to a couple hundreds during a blind playthrough, but levels are pretty short and I think albeit pretty hard its also responsive, I think all challenges were fair except maybe a certain jump in stage 17 where the low ceiling makes it feel a bit luck-based, but was just a minor gripe
it's good. better than overwatch 2
if you wanna break your computer, play this game. Otherwise, just don't. The levels feel ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ impossible, this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥.
More neutral about it but I just didn't like the controls. I just didn't feel like I had enough control of my jumps since I could only move forward.
this game is a rage game but not because it's challenging, it's because the controls suck ass. play something else like the creators other games. for example the search for a colour palette is pretty good, but don't play this. you deserve better.
Level 7 is frustrating...
